5 Cities That are Going to Disappear Soon

05:28
The next time you take a trip to see the magnificent beaches of Mali, take a leisurely gondola ride in Venice, or wonder at the architecture of the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, make sure to bring your best camera. If scientific studies are accurate, photos will be the only way your great-great-grandchildren will see them. Mother Nature has slated a number of places to significantly shrink or disappear from the earth entirely by 2100 due to climate change, changing soil and sea levels, natural disasters and economic problems. It’s not too late, but these places may very well become the next Atlantis. 5. Beijing, China The land under Beijing is sinking by as much as four inches per year because of the overconsumption of groundwater, according to research published in the journal Remote Sensing this month. The rate of sinking threatens “the safety of the public and urban infrastructure,” the study says. 4. Mexico Mexico City, the worlds’ third largest city with 18.7 million people, is sinking far more than experts had originally predicted. Scientists are alarmed by the extent to which Mexico City has sunk; over the last 100 years, parts of the city have sunk as much as forty-two feet 3. Venice, Italy Venice may soon have to ditch its nickname of The Floating City - as it is sinking into the water more than five times quicker than previously thought. Venice sunk about 120mm in the 20th century due to natural and human causes. 2. London London is actually sinking, but very slowly. The land is made mainly of sedimentary rocks and since erosion is becoming a big problem environmentally, London is starting to sink. 1. Washington D.C, USA Washington, D.C., where the powers that reign over the United States reside, is sinking into the ocean. Scientists predict that the land underneath the nation's capital will drop more than 6 inches in the next 100 years, according to new research from the University of Vermont and the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS).

Lima a Capital City by the sea

01:49
The "City of Kings" and capital of Peru, was founded by Spanish Conqueror Francisco Pizarro on January 18th, 1535. Located at 170 meters above sea level with a population amounting to over one-third of the country's total. Lima is characterized by a cultural blend and a great number of attractions. In Lima you can find impressive Pre-Inca pyramids surrounding the city, beautiful beaches with excellent waves, the best museums; in the downtown area an active nightlife, the charisma of its people and a fabulous and varied gastronomic offer with many of the best restaurants in Peru. Some of the most remarkable attractions are the San Francisco Church, the Archaeological and Anthropological Museum of Peru, the Cathedral, the Main Square, The Golden Museum, the Miraflores and Barranco districts, the Modern Larcomar and Jockey Plaza shopping malls, the Huaca Pucllana Archaeological Site and the impressive structures of the Pachacamac Sanctuary. http://oneearthperu.com/ https://www.facebook.com/OneEarthPeru Video Producido por: PlumaVerde Productora Director: Marcos Poemape Sonido: Américo Vera Vera Edición y Post: Marcos Poemape www.plumaverde.com Musica: Elegante y La Imperial "Lundu Landó"

MOST ISOLATED Communities Around the World

11:05
From the isolated native people in the highlands of Tibet to the mysterious islands on a few people will dare to live on, here are 11 most isolated communities Subscribe to American Eye! 5. Most Isolated Capital What do you think the coldest capital on earth is? Moscow, Bern, Ottawa? All Wrong! If you guessed Ulaanbaatar located in Mongolia good job! To the south lies a strange, dry, cold Gobi desert that receives little to no precipitation all year. To the North, you have siberia. This city is regarded as the coldest capital on earth and suffers from long and unbearable freezing winters! We sort of see it as the most isolated capital as well and this whole area of Central Asia is just extremely remote! We don’t even think Genghis Khan could have handled temperatures this cold. Just walking on the street with any exposed skin can result in pain. Do you ever hear anyone saying, hey i’m taking off work to go to Mongolia for a week!? Uh no.. You really wouldn't want to forget a jacket living here. It’s also the largest city on the list with roughly 1.3 million inhabitants which is nearly half the country's population. We’re still surprised that mongolians got out of their huts and even built a capital! Due to its high elevation, proximity to Siberia and lack of precipitation, it’s a rough place to live nonetheless. Due to a large amount of permafrost soil in Mongolia, it makes building foundations difficult. It’s believed this is why many Mongolians live in houses known as Yurts. 4. Siwa Oasis Within the vast Sahara desert lies the Siwa Oasis, in one of the most isolated settlements in Egypt. Situated near the Libyan border, it’s about 348 miles or 560 kilometers west of the capital Cairo. Living here however is nothing new and the earliest known settlers came here during the 10th century BC. Being completely surrounded by dry, inhospitable desert has allowed the Siwa people to develop a unique culture from the rest of the Middle East, which is often seen in their style of artwork, jewelry and their same sex marriage ceremonies. They also speak what’s known as the Siwi or Oasis berber, making them somewhat foreign to the eastern part of Egypt. Here in this photo we see a girl wearing the traditional dress of Siwa while grinding salt. The oasis is inhabited by about 30,000 Siwa Berbers and the hot springs are known to occasionally attract tourists. If you’re looking for some good dates, the people of the Siwa Oasis have been growing them for the past 3,500 years 3. Montecristo The tiny island off the coast of Tuscany, Italy called Montecristo has been shrouded in mystery since the 16th century. To this day, only 1000 tourists are permitted to visit the nature reserve located on this island each year. On top of it, they have to wait 3 years in order to get the visa, just to visit! Is there something the Italian government doesn’t want people to find out about here or is it just to preserve the nature. This was also home to the famous French writer Alexandre Dumas, who wrote the 3 Musketeers. In the novel The count of Monte Cristo, he told of legends about buried treasure left by pirates here. Is it a coincidence that excavations are also strictly permitted on this island? The current population of this island is labelled at 2 people. 2. Szigetszentmiklos -(see-gets-zent-miklos) This community in Hungary is found just about southwest of Budapest in Google maps and it’s quite strange how isolated they seem. The little hungarian community is completely surrounded by water near the Danube River and is quite unurbanized in comparison to the big capital city. There’s about 30,000 residents of this little town which but only a few hundred choose to live on these islands. Villagers enjoy hunting, fishing, and boating in order to stay self sufficient. You don’t really get a true sense of how isolated it is until you kind roam around here on google earth. This photo here shows the tiny fishing community on the body of water known as Pebble lake, and it looks like a good village to survive the zombie apocalypse Tristan De Cuhna This island gets the nickname as the most remote inhabited island in the world because it sort of is. Tristan is the tip of a volcano thrusted upwards from the ocean floor and by looking at the signs, you’ll definitely feel a long ways away from home. The elevation peaks at about 6500 feet. The closest land mass is Saint Helena only about 1500 miles away. It seems to be situated directly between the southern tips of Africa and South America and is only accessible by navigating the brutal seas . You might imagine that life on the world’s most remote island is a little bit rough, but people here enjoy a good standard of living here. Crime seems virtually nonexistent on the biggest settlement called Edinbourgh of the Seven Seas. Many family owns potato patches to grow there own food.

Most MYSTERIOUS Discoveries Made By Satellite!

Check out the Most MYSTERIOUS Discoveries Made By Satellite! From amazing things caught on camera to bizarre discoveries made on google earth, this top 10 list of bizarre things found by satellite is amazing! Subscribe For New Videos! http://goo.gl/UIzLeB Watch our "REAL Mermaid Sightings Around The World!" video here: https://youtu.be/ChM0CBRmVsM Watch our "10 Sea Monsters ATTACKING A Boat!" video here: https://youtu.be/0XROvoPCDNc Watch our "STRANGEST Animals People Keep As Pets!" video here: https://youtu.be/OMa96nPqz-Y 10. The Badlands Guardian In southeastern Alberta, Canada is a geological feature that, when viewed from above, looks like something far beyond the grooves in the valley that it's made from. Known as the badlands guardian, it looks just like a human wearing a headdress- the surprising thing is, though, that this hasn't been carved by human hands at all. 9. Saudi Arabian Structures The increasing clarity provided by satellite imagery has become an invaluable tool for researchers and archaeologists around the world, and are particularly useful for exploring hard to reach areas. In 2017, researchers announced the discovery of more than 400 stone structures in Saudi Arabia, each of which dates back many thousands of years. 8. The Northern Lights The Northern Lights are an atmospheric display that attracts thousands of people from around the world to the northern regions for a chance to see them. They are a humbling example of the magnitude of our planet, and the magnetic forces that are continually taking place. Many images and videos have been released by NASA, showing you what the phenomenon looks like from Space. 7. The Giant Pink Rabbit If you were walking to the top of an Italian mountain, there would probably be a range of things you’d expect to see…. But is the world’s biggest rabbit one of them? As images on Google Earth showed in 2008, on the side of the 5,000-foot high Colletto Fava mountain, in northern Italy, lay a 200-foot long pink rabbit. 6. The Lost City of Tanis The city of Tanis, which you may know from Indiana Jones and Raiders of the Lost Ark, was once the capital city of Ancient Egypt but has long been lost to the sands of the desert. That was until infrared satellite images of the region were taken, and revealed not only the location but the layout and remains, of Tanis!! Yay!! 5. A Fire in the Ocean NASA has a number of satellites that continuously look at the earth, but one noticed something quite strange in 2017. Its probe, the Suomi NPP, has thermal imaging capabilities and was taking images of Brazil to monitor the development of forest fires across the country. Each hotspot can be seen on the map in red- which shows how many fires are taking place at any time. 4. Giant A Hole Finally, here's a perfect example of a neighborly rivalry that’s been caught on camera, and one that can still be seen on Google Maps! Occasionally, someone finds a hilarious image that the satellite imaging has picked up on, and that’s what happened when one user was looking at Sequim, Washington. As you can see, in the field is probably the world’s biggest A-hole! 3. Hurricane Florence Hurricane Florence was a deadly storm that hit the Carolinas in September of 2018, resulting in the deaths of 5 people, and leaving hundreds of thousands without power. Hurricanes contain huge amounts of energy, but it’s only when you see them imaged from above that you get an idea of just how large and powerful they are. 2. The Desert Atlantis There are lots of legendary cities that have been lost to time, but recently one was found, which has been affectionately called the ‘Atlantis of the Sands’. For a long time, the only mention of the city called ‘Iram of the Pillars’ was in the Quran, where it was said to be full of vibrant and tall buildings that were the home of the people of Ad. At the end of the story, which saw the people being punished by Allah, the city was buried beneath the sand- never to be seen again. 1. The Millennium Falcon Longcross Studios in Surrey, England, is not somewhere most people have heard of- but it’s one of the locations that has been used for filming some of the biggest blockbusters of recent years- including ‘Thor 2’, ‘Skyfall’, ‘Fast and the Furious 6’, and the Star Wars movies. Darwin, the tropical capital city of Australia's Northern Territory

03:27
Darwin, a small yet cosmopolitan city, is the tropical capital city of the Northern Territory. People from more than 50 nations make up its population of 110,000. It is located on the Northern Territory coast, with the Timor Sea to the west, and the Arafura Sea to the north in Indonesian waters. Darwin has a relaxed lifestyle and unique multiculturalism, where people from over 50 different cultures live and work side by side. The regular Asian-style markets form an intrinsic part of the everyday Darwin landscape, for local residents see food, music, language, and culture from just about every Asian nation, alongside "crocodile hunters", local Aboriginal artists, musicians of every genre, sports fishing operators, sunset sails, and families with children playing on the beach. Darwin's unique cosmopolitan makeup has been recognised as an "multicultural icon of national significance" by the Australian National Trust. Darwin was first named in 1839 by John Lort Stokes during the third voyage of the Beagle. It was named after his former shipmate and famous naturalist Charles Darwin. Darwin's development was accelerated by the discovery of gold at Pine Creek, about 200  km south of the city in 1871. After the gold rush Darwin's growth slowed mainly due to the harsh, tropical climate, distance and poor communications with other Australian cities. The Second World War put Darwin back on the map when the town became an important base for Allied action against the Japanese in the Pacific. The road south to the railhead at Alice Springs was surfaced, putting the city in direct contact with the rest of the country. Modern Darwin is one of Australia's most cosmopolitan cities, more open to Asia than perhaps any other Australian city. It plays an important role as the door to Australia's northern region. Natural wonders such as Kakadu, Katherine Gorge, and Litchfield are all within driving distance from the city and still contain near pre-colonial populations of crocodiles, goannas, snakes and wallabies. Today Darwin is a fast growing regional centre that has unique history, culture and adventure. Darwin's tropical climate has two major seasons: the 'dry', from about May to October, and the 'wet', from November to April. There is also the 'build up', the time from the end of the dry, leading into the wet when the humidity rises, but the rain doesn't fall. The arrival of the wet is always a welcome break from the buildup. Darwin is also the only Australian capital city to have come under substantial attack during a war. On 19 February 1942, Japanese planes made two major air raids on Darwin from the aircraft carrier fleet that had attacked Pearl Harbor less than 3 months earlier. These were the first of 64 air attacks sustained by the city during World War II, the last being on 12 November 1943. QUESTIONS? We would like to hear from you! Abidjan, Ivory Coast

03:44
Abidjan City, Abidjan City Photos, Abidjan Photos, Abidjan Pictures, Abidjan Images, Abidjan, Ivory Coast, Abidjan City Guide Abidjan is the economic capital of Ivory Coast and the most populous French-speaking city in West Africa. According to the 2014 Ivory Coast census, Abidjan's population was 4.7 million, which is 20 percent of the overall population of the country. Within West Africa, only Lagos, the former capital of Nigeria, surpasses Abidjan in population. Considered the cultural crossroads of West Africa, Abidjan is characterised by a high level of industrialisation and urbanisation. The city expanded quickly after the construction of a new wharf in 1931, followed by its designation as the capital city of the then-French colony in 1933. Abidjan remained the capital of Ivory Coast after its independence from France in 1960. The completion of the Vridi Canal in 1951 enabled Abidjan to become an important sea port. In 1983, the city of Yamoussoukro was designated as the official political capital of Cote d'Ivoire. However, almost all political institutions and foreign embassies continue to be located in Abidjan. Because Abidjan is also the largest city in the country and the centre of its economic activity, it has officially been designated as the "economic capital" of the country. The Abidjan Autonomous District, which encompasses the city and some of its suburbs, is one of the 14 districts of Ivory Coast.

Since the chauffeur heard the speech daily because he was on tour with Plank... he gave a perfect speech. BUT when asked a question by the audience he was stumped..) Plank knowledge is completely owning your subject... Chauffeur knowledge is only knowing the surface level of your subject. Are you committed to Plank knowledge of your craft? मुंबई की चौकाने वाली सच्चाई। Truth Of Mumbai City 2018 Hindi

07:14
Mumbai (/mʊmˈbaɪ/; also known as Bombay) is the capital city of the Indian state of Maharashtra. It is the most populous city in India with an estimated city proper population of 12.4 million as of 2011. Along with the neighbouring regions of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, it is the second most populous metropolitan area in India, with a population of 21.3 million as of 2016.[16][17][18] Mumbai lies on the Konkan coast on the west coast of India and has a deep natural harbour. In 2008, Mumbai was named an alpha world city.[19] It is also the wealthiest city in India,[20][21] and has the highest number of millionaires and billionaires among all cities in India.[22][23] Mumbai is home to three UNESCO World Heritage Sites: the Elephanta Caves, Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, and the city's distinctive ensemble of Victorian and Art Deco buildings. The seven islands that constitute Mumbai were originally home to communities of Koli people, who originated in Gujarat in prehistoric times.[24][25][26] For centuries, the islands were under the control of successive indigenous empires before being ceded to the Portuguese Empire and subsequently to the East India Company when in 1661 Charles II of England married Catherine of Braganza and as part of her dowry Charles received the ports of Tangier and Seven Islands of Bombay.[27] During the mid-18th century, Bombay was reshaped by the Hornby Vellard project,[28] which undertook reclamation of the area between the seven islands from the sea.[29] Along with construction of major roads and railways, the reclamation project, completed in 1845, transformed Bombay into a major seaport on the Arabian Sea. Bombay in the 19th century was characterised by economic and educational development. During the early 20th century it became a strong base for the Indian independence movement. Upon India's independence in 1947 the city was incorporated into Bombay State. In 1960, following the Samyukta Maharashtra Movement, a new state of Maharashtra was created with Bombay as the capital.[30] Mumbai is the financial, commercial[31] and entertainment capital of India. It is also one of the world's top ten centres of commerce in terms of global financial flow,[32] generating 6.16% of India's GDP[33] and accounting for 25% of industrial output, 70% of maritime trade in India (Mumbai Port Trust and JNPT),[34] and 70% of capital transactions to India's economy.[35][36] The city houses important financial institutions such as the Reserve Bank of India, the Bombay Stock Exchange, the National Stock Exchange of India, the SEBI and the corporate headquarters of numerous Indian companies and multinational corporations. It is also home to some of India's premier scientific and nuclear institutes like Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Nuclear Power Corporation of India, Indian Rare Earths, Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Atomic Energy Regulatory Board, Atomic Energy Commission of India, and the Department of Atomic Energy. The city also houses India's Hindi (Bollywood) and Marathi cinema industries. Mumbai's business opportunities, as well as its potential to offer a higher standard of living,[37] attract migrants from all over India, making the city a melting pot of many communities and cultures.

Top 10 Best Places To Live In New Zealand

07:52
New Zealand is one of the world’s best places to live and retire, best place to rise your family. It has a very pleasant climate, great beaches, a wide variety of outdoor activities, cultural attractions, free health care (for the most part), a good educational system, economic freedom, a lack of corruption and attractive, modern cities. Known for the stunning landscapes featured in Peter Jackson's "Lord of the Rings". Here're 10 best places to live in New Zealand: 1 . Christchurch , Canterbury. 2 . The Bay of Plenty. 3. Waikato Region. 4. Dunedin, Otago. 5. New Plymouth, Taranaki. 6. Wellington. 7. North Shore, Auckland. 8. Nelson. 9. Queenstown Lakes, Otago. 10. Selwyn, Canterbury. If you are moving to live in New Zealand and you’re really not sure where you want to settle, Auckland can be a great place to begin, you can rent accommodation easily within the city and it has fantastic transport links for the rest of the nation. But be sure to use these transport links, explore the North and South Islands and find the location that best suits you before you buy a home or even commit to living in New Zealand full time. Whilst the nation is not vast or overpopulated, it does encompass such an impressive array of geographically different regions that it would be a crime not to explore far more of the country than its leading city before you settle on a place in New Zealand to call home. ================== Thanks for watching. Welcome to my travelchannel. On my channel you can find almost 1000 films of more than 70 countries. See the playlist on my youtube channel.Enjoy! https://www.youtube.com/user/nurettinodunya/playlists Addis Ababa: Addis Ababa sometimes spelled Addis Abeba (the spelling used by the official Ethiopian Mapping Authority), is the capital city of Ethiopia. Founded in 1886, it is the largest city in Ethiopia, with a population of 3,384,569 according to the 2007 population census with annual growth rate of 3.8%. This number has been increased from the originally published 2,738,248 figure and appears to be still largely underestimated. As a chartered city (ras gez astedader), Addis Ababa has the status of both a city and a state. It is where the African Union and its predecessor the OAU are based. It also hosts the headquarters of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) and numerous other continental and international organizations. Addis Ababa is therefore often referred to as "the political capital of Africa" due to its historical, diplomatic and political significance for the continent. The city is populated by people from different regions of Ethiopia – the country has as many as 80 nationalities speaking 80 languages and belonging to a wide variety of religious communities. It is home to Addis Ababa University. The Federation of African Societies of Chemistry (FASC) and Horn of Africa Press Institute (HAPI) are also headquartered in Addis Ababa. Overview:Addis Ababa lies at an altitude of 7,546 feet (2,300 metres) and is a grassland biome, located at 9°1′48″N 38°44′24″ECoordinates: 9°1′48″N 38°44′24″E. The city lies at the foot of Mount Entoto and forms part of the watershed for the Awash. From its lowest point, around Bole International Airport, at 2,326 metres (7,631 ft) above sea level in the southern periphery, the city rises to over 3,000 metres (9,800 ft) in the Entoto Mountains to the north. Based on the 2007 census conducted by the Ethiopian national statistics authorities the population of Addis Ababa is 3,384,569 million; all of the population are urban inhabitants. For the capital city 662,728 households were counted living in 628,984 housing units, which results in an average of 5.3 persons to a household. Although all Ethiopian ethnic groups are represented in Addis Ababa due to its position as capital of the country, the largest groups include the Amhara (47.04%), Oromo (19.51%), Gurage (16.34%), Tigray (6.18%), Silt'e (2.94%), and Gamo (1.68%). Languages spoken include Amharic (71.0%), Oromiffa (10.7%), Gurage (8.37%), Tigrinya (3.60%), Silt'e (1.82%) and Gamo (1.03%). The religion with the most believers in Addis Ababa is Ethiopian Orthodox with 74.7% of the population, while 16.2% are Muslim, 7.77% Protestant, and 0.48% Catholic. In the previous census, conducted in 1994, the city's population was reported to be 2,112,737, of whom 1,023,452 were men and 1,089,285 were women. At that time not all of the population were urban inhabitants; only 2,084,588 or 98.7% were. For the entire administrative council there were 404,783 households in 376,568 housing units with an average of 5.2 persons per household. The major ethnic groups included the Amhara (48.3%), Oromo (19.2%), Gurage (13.5%; 2.3% Sebat Bet, and 0.8% Sodo), Tigray 7.64%, Silt'e 3.98%, and foreigners from Eritrea 1.33%. Languages spoken included Amharic (72.6%), Oromiffa (10.0%), Gurage (6.54%), Tigrinya (5.41%), and Silt'e 2.29%. In 1994 the predominant religion was also Ethiopian Orthodox with 82.0% of the population, while 12.7% were Muslim, 3.87% Protestant, and 0.78% Catholic. According to the 2007 national census, 98.64% of the housing units of Addis Ababa had access to safe drinking water, while 14.9% had flush toilets, 70.7% pit toilets (both ventilated and unventilated), and 14.3% had no toilet facilities. Values for other reported common indicators of the standard of living for Addis Ababa as of 2005 include the following: 0.1% of the inhabitants fall into the lowest wealth quintile; adult literacy for men is 93.6% and for women 79.95%, the highest in the nation for both sexes; and the civic infant mortality rate is 45 infant deaths per 1,000 live births, which is less than the nationwide average of 77; at least half of these deaths occurred in the infants’ first month of life.Wikipedia

Cuba Vacation Travel Guide | Expedia (4K)

13:56
https://www.expedia.com/explore/caribbean/cuba.d44 It’s only 93 miles from Florida, and just 13 from the Bahamas, but like the smoke that coils from its legendary cigars, The Republic of Cuba exists in a time and space all its own. Few cities can stir the imagination like Cuba’s capital, Havana, a city preserved by forts, a five-mile seawall, and an imposed embargo, which held back the excesses of the 20th century for over 50 years. Havana’s lure can be hard to resist, but Cuba offers so much more beyond the seductive lights of its capital. In Cuba, a long sandy beach is never far away. Just 12 miles from Havana’s downtown, the Eastern Beaches unroll toward the town of Matanzas, the birthplace of the rumba, and Cárdenas, where the Cuban Flag flew for the very first time. From here, follow the scent of fresh lime, rum and suntan lotion north to Varadero. After exploring the northern coastline, turn south towards Cuba’s most revolutionary city, Santa Clara, and Trinidad, once the sugar capital of the world. Don’t miss elegant Cienfuegos, the only Cuban city founded by the French. Sometimes it’s hard to know whether Cuba is awakening to the world, or if the world is awakening to Cuba. Whatever your politics, it's easy to admire this island nation that has proudly gone its own way. Cuba may still have one foot firmly in the past, but as the world tumbles towards tomorrow, we can be thankful for the many things it has not let go.
