Avoid the dangers of online dating and read a guy's signals:
Life nowadays moves pretty quickly, and that means a lot of us wants to do stuff faster and easier. Take social networking for instance.
We're so busy getting just through the day, but we don't want to be out of touch with the people in our lives. So we turn to social media sites so we know what's going on with our family and friends, and send them a quick IM if needed.
No man (or woman) is an island, like they say. For many of us, a loaded week is NO excuse to keep us away from our social circles.
And it shouldn't keep you from meeting NEW people, either. That's where online dating comes in.
Like Facebook and Twitter, dating apps and sites will quickly match you up with a guy who seems like suitable partner. You can easily navigate through hundreds of dating profiles in one sitting without going out.
For a lot of women, they'd rather do it this way than hit up the nearest watering hole or singles bar. It's just more efficient, really.
If you want to get in on the action, there are some things you need to know about FIRST. Online dating is a very good way to get a guy you want, but it presents a unique set of circumstances you should be ready for.
Since online dating allows you to cast a bigger net than traditional dating, you'll connect with more people. This can be both a blessing and a challenge.
In this dating advice video, I'll show you how to skip past the losers and liars and make online dating a GREAT experience for you.
The odds of getting assaulted aren't all that high. The few online dates that end up like that are the ONLY ones that get reported by the media.
As a worst-case scenario, you're way more likely to meet a guy who'll disappoint you in some mundane way that won't wind up on the front page.
In any case, you should still exercise common sense and keep your personal safety in mind. I recommend taking self-defense lessons because it'll come handy when you're in a pinch.
If you can take care of yourself, then you don't have to worry about meeting new people.
Now, you also should take note of certain red flags:
Online Dating Red Flag #1: He's way too impatient
Even though you might know a friend who got engaged only a few months after meeting a guy, don't use this as a yardstick by any means.
As fast as it is to meet men online, you shouldn't rush into anything once you've started dating one. Let the relationship progress at a comfortable pace.
Remember, you're dealing with a stranger, so watch out if he's already declaring his undying love to you after just a few weeks of knowing each other.
And it's also an indication that he's either desperate or up to no good. Con artists want to move things quickly since they're after something other than a long-term relationship.
Online Dating Red Flag #2: He's ALWAYS busy
Watch out for a guy who can't seem to make adequate time to date you, or maintain the relationship to begin with.
As lovestruck as you're feeling with a new but unavailable guy, consider that there's something he's hiding if you have a very tight window to see or talk to him.
Online Dating Red Flag #3: Mr. Moneybags
No, I don't mean the type of guy who's loaded. "Freeloader" is more like it.
Unless it's someone you REALLY know, it's naturally uncomfortable to bring up the subject of money. So, if your date talks about money OR asks to borrow some right away, that's NOT a good sign.
Remember that hundreds of men and women get scammed by people willing to take advantage of their vulnerability - and loneliness.
These red flags aren't the only thing you'll learn in my video. More than that, I'll also give you a run down of the FOUR DANGERS of online dating.
