How to draw balanced poses in 4 minutes

04:39
I received some comments regarding the drawing of the human poses in fashion illustration. In fact, it is very simple. No matter what you draw, start with the axes. They will let you draw the desired position of the body and If you make a mistake, you will be easilyable to erase the axes. There is no need to get to the shapes and shading or costume, before establishing the position of the body. You can learn by heart some basic poses and after that, all you have to do is to observe the poses in the fashion magazines. They will inspire you to draw many other fashion sketches. For the beginners, I will propose today some simple, basic positions that anyone can follow. Basically, you can play with the axes of the legs and then arms. Draw the heads and then the axes of the shoulder. In my first drawing the shoulder axis goes down, this means the hip will go up. In the second draw the axes are parallel and in the third drawing the shoulder axis will go up, this means the hip axis will go down. In short, play with the position of the shoulder axes and suddenly you will obtain 3 fashion poses. The arms can be parallel with the body or bend.Regarding the legs, once you established which leg will support all the body weight, you can play with the other leg as you want, as you can see there are at least 3 variants. Let's go to the second figure. Here the weight of the body is split into two. Both legs are supporting the weight now. About the legs position, there is not much to say, so, for this pose, you can experiment with different arm positions as you can see in my drawing. After drawing the axes, sure, get to the second and thrid step: primary shapes and connetcions between the shapes. For more about these steps, just see my other videos. Regarding the last sketch, see how similar is this one, with the first sketch. In fact, it is exactly the same position, just that it is reflected. Now the weight is supported by the leg from the right, this means that the other leg can have any position. Also, the arms can be bend or parallel with the body. Like always, after drawing the axes, do the shapes and then the anatomy and that's it. With exercise, you will have more than 7 different positions and many other poses, if you take into consideration all the combinations between the arms and the legs. Happy new year and all the best in 2015.

My art materials to draw fashion sketches | Justine Leconte

04:50
This video shows you the art supplies that I use to draw fashion sketches: SKETCHING: HB and 2B grey pencils (I forgot to mention the erasers: a regular one, one that has a thin tip and a kneaded eraser which doesn’t leave residues on the sheet of paper) Graphite for quick sketching Charcoal pencil for the shadowing and to get really black backgrounds Ink pens (PIGMA 005, 05 and 1 // FABER-CASTELL Small, Medium & Bold) Fixative (either from the art supplies store or a simple hairspray) COLORING: Markers: Chartpak AD / Copic / Prismacolor (several colors + darker shades of those colors, warm and cold greys, several black tones, several skin tones and a blender) Color pencils: a regular box of colors will do the job (but you need white, black, grey and a skin tone) PAPER: Sketchbook in a format that fits your pre-made croquis, slightly see-through Marker paper (bleedproof) in a larger format. What materials do you use for your drawings? I use Copic Ciao markers and Touch Twin Markers, Quill Multiboard white paper, 2B and HB Pentel and Faber-Castell 0.5 mechanical pencils and Faber-Castell PVC-Free Space Eraser (Cool name) and I use Uni-ball Signo white fineliner 2. Did you go to any art school or academy? No. I am taking Studio Arts in senior high school right now. It's not from that class that I learned what I know. I am learning new things from the class, but so far, not to do with fashion illustration or manga drawings. I go to a regular high school, so it doesn't specialize in art. 3. How do you draw the models? Do you use any templates? I started out by tracing models from magazines which is harder than it sounds, but once you get the hang of it, its pretty easy. Then of course, I searched all types of videos on YouTube and some sites as well on Google, which unfortunately, I don't remember. 4. How old are you? I am now 18 years old 5. How long have you been drawing? I'm pretty sure I started drawing at 6. That's probably my oldest memory of me drawing. I got into manga drawings when I was 11 years old, I started teaching myself how to draw manga when I was 13 years old. I started developing an interest in fashion design also when I was 11, but I pursued that interest or taken it further at the age of 14. So, I would say I started drawing fashion illustration at the age of 14. 6. Where do you get your inspiration? I get my inspiration from music, photos on Instagram, fashion trends, things that I love. There are times where I am just in an Artist's Block and I feel really brain dead where I can't draw. Or I force myself to draw and it never turns out to be something I like. I am currently in an Artist's Block which has been going on since late October 2011, and I am finding ways to get out of it. I'll keep you posted on how I break through it :] 7. Do you have any links or books you can recommend? Definitely! Fashion Illustration by Anna Kiper and Fashion Poses for Fashion Illustrators by Sha Tahmasebi are two books that I own at the moment. I'm hoping to get more. These two books are very helpful if you're a beginner or even if you want to be a bit more advanced. http://www.monkeysee.com/play/5156-how-to-draw-clothes-on-a-fashion-figure this is a very basic tutorial but seriously, this tutorial helped me when I was just starting. What materials do you mainly use for your drawings? In general, I use Copic Ciao markers and Touch Twin Markers, Quill Multiboard A4 white paper, 2B and HB Pentel and Faber-Castell 0.5 mechanical pencil and Faber-Castell PVC-Free Space Eraser (Cool name) and I use Uni-ball Signo white fineliner 2. Did you go to any art school or academy? No. I took Studio Arts in senior high school. It's not from that class that I learned evreything I know. I did learn new things from the class, but not to do with fashion illustration or manga drawings. I went to a regular high school, so it doesn't specialize in art. 3. How do you draw the models? Do you use any templates? I started out by tracing models from magazines which is harder than it sounds, but once you get the hang of it, it's pretty easy. Then of course, I searched all types of videos on YouTube and some sites as well on Google, which unfortunately, I don't remember. How I learned to draw my models is using the 9-Head technique. 4. How old are you? I am now 19 years old 5. I get my inspiration from music, photos on Instagram, Tumblr fashion trends, things that I love. There are times where I am just in an Artist's Block and I feel really brain dead where I can't draw. Or I force myself to draw and it never turns out to be something that I like. 7. Do you have any links or books you can recommend? Definitely! Fashion Illustration by Anna Kiper and Fashion Poses for Fashion Illustrators by Sha Tahmasebi are two books that I own at the moment. I'm hoping to get more. How to do fashion sketches step by step

06:34
I'm Ioana Avram, fashion designer. Welcome to my Fashion teaching channel where you will find design videos starting from basic, easy level ( for beginners ) until advanced level. Follow my advices regarding the hand draw: anatomy studies, fashion poses, figures and croquis, learn about style and craft, fabrics and how to create garments. I love painting and sketching, I like fabrics and fashion magazines and especially pencil, ink and watercolor technique. I believe anyone can draw after practicing a while because all you need is work, work, work and enjoy, enjoy, enjoy. :) I made this channel to prove that it's ok to have talent, but not necessary. Through my one of a kind technique you will see how easy it will be to draw from now on. You will learn more about fashion and everything related to it: composition, shading, textures, different techniques and especially learn how to draw fashion sketches all by yourself. I will post new videos each Thursday so don't forget to subscribe. I will do my best to answer all comments. Ask anything you want, and feel free to leave any suggestions for future videos! All are taken into consideration. For more info visit my website fashion-teaching.com. Thank you and take care! FAQ: 1. What materials do you use for your drawings? ****************************************************** I use Toison d'Or or Koh-I-Noor pencils ( from 4B to 8B), Copic markers, Derwent coloured pencils, Canson paper or Fabriano paper, Factis eraser, metal pencil sharper and Winsor and Newton watercolors and ink. 2. Did you go to any art school or academy? ****************************************************** Yes, I studied design and fashion design ( for 4 years) at the University of Arts and Design in Cluj, Romania, Europe. I had a scholarship in Katowice, Poland and another one in Coburg, Germany and a course attended with Gary Tu - a well-known fashion illustrator from Taipei, Taiwan. 3.Where do you get your inspiration? ****************************************************** Basically I am very interested in any image and text that could grab my attention: fashion albums, history of art, books I read, movies I see...In fact, i will share below all my sources of inspiration. Find all my inspirational folders here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/397137153755499/photos/ 4. Do you have any links or books you can recommend? ****************************************************** Definitely I would recommend Gottfried Bammes' Anatomy, Barcsay's Anatomy and David Downton's illustrations that you will find here: http://www.daviddownton.com/ and here: http://instagram.com/daviddownton 5. How long have you been drawing? ****************************************************** 30 years ago some desperate parents interdicted their 3 years old child to use pencils to draw on their house's inner walls :). Due to this, and to the fact that all pencils, brushes and markers were forbidden, the child found another way to express: all chocolate received was hidden and used to "decorate" the walls when all other tools were not available.30 years later, here I am, willing to tell a story on every wall there is. Not with chocolate, like I used to :), but in watercolors, as you can find on my shop here: http://www.etsy.com/shop/bijuterra. Thank you, and hope to enjoy my illustrations and videos from your comfortable armchair, having a cup of warm milk in your hand and smiling. 6. How can I send my drawing to you? ****************************************************** For any personal advice you can send me your illustrations or questions here: [email protected] and I will reply. Thank you! 7. 57 DRAWING TRICKS FOR EVERYONE

23:48
Amazing drawing hacks for everyone: If you love drawing or doodling, why not take it a step further and become a master through this small well-constructed drawing tutorial we created for you. Drawing can be used as a form of therapy. It can help you relax and relieve anxiety. So quit everything your doing and go get a sketching pad to start drawing with us. 1. How to draw lips: When it comes to drawing lips and finding the right proportions for the anatomy of the human lips can be difficult. Instead, od drawing two curves on top and then connecting them with a slighter larger curvy line at the bottom here is what you can do. Draw two circles next to each other, then draw another circle approximately the same size in the middle top of those two circles. Then, use those circles as guides to draw the upper and lower lip. You will see right away the lips you drew now seem more realistic and proportional. 2. How to draw curly hair: If you are struggling with drawing curly hair, don't worry because you are not the only one. Here is what you can do. Instead of drawing s swirl doing downwards over and over again, draw two parallel lines, then inside those lines start drawing parallel lines again going downwards but let them have some distance between each other. After that connect those lines by drawing more parallel lines behind the ones you just drew to show them a real curl is actually showing. Finally, start shading with your pencil. 3. How to draw an eye for beginners: If your drawing skills when it comes to drawing eyes are still the same level as they were in primary school, then try this drawing technique. First, draw an almond shape while holding your pencil from a higher point than you normally hold it from. This will allow your hand to draw more freely thus avoid those harsh lines that occur when you hold your pencil. You can try using a 2B pencil, and HB, a graphite pencil or a 4B if you would like a softer essence. Then when you draw the first almond shape, add more shading on the top part of the eyelid to draw the eyeliner. Shade the inner corner and the outer corner to give your drawing more dimension and enhance the realism effect on this little piece of art. Draw the iris with various shading values to make it look sparkly and then finally draw the eyelashes and the eyebrows. 4. Doodling ideas: Whether you like doodling in your class, or you recently got into bullet journaling, try some of our doodle ideas in the video to add extra decorations to your bullet journal or your sketchbook. You can create kaleidoscope patterns using graphic design markers or watercolors. In addition to that, you can create an optical 3D illusion drawing using the No 7 as we demonstrate in the video. We create these optical illusions by recreating the structure of a notebook but we keep out some lines in order to create the 3d illusion drawing. It may seem complicated but once you saw such drawing to your friends in school, they will make you the artistic genius of the class. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Timestamps: 0:10 - How to draw lips (2 ways) 0:46 - How to draw curly hair 1:39 - How to draw a portrait for beginners 2:38 - How to draw the female figure simple tutorial 3:15 - How to draw a realistic eye beginners method 4:03 - How to draw a braid 4:15 - How to draw with perfect measurements - Still life 4:30 - How to draw a fashion dress for fashion illustrations 4:43 - How to draw a palm tree 5:02 - How to draw a realistic flower 5:27 - How to draw all types of lips 5:40 - Doodle Ideas - pattern illusion 5:58 - 3D Pattern illusion 6:17 - Fun doodle star - connect the lines 6:45 - Cool arrow doodle pattern for beginners 7:10 - 3D stair drawing - optical illusion 8:08 - Awesome doodling pattern 9:09 - How to draw any animal using numbers 9:50 - Cool Origami art - Dancing Balerina 10:35 - How to draw any animal using circles 12:40 - How to doodle anything using letters 14:07 - 3D Pattern trick 15:33 - How to draw peppa pig 16:17 - How to doodle flowers 16:46 - Pattern Ideas 18:51 - Chess pattern 21:09 - Heart doodle ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Music by Epidemic Sound: https://www.epidemicsound.com/ Our Social Media: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/5Minute.Crafts.Girly/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/5.min.crafts/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/5m_crafts Subscribe to 5-Minute MAGIC: http://bit.ly/2ldditZ 5-Minute Crafts KIDS: https://goo.gl/PEuLVt The Bright Side of Youtube: https://goo.gl/rQTJZz ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For more videos and articles visit: http://www.brightside.me/ Music by Epidemic Sound: https://www.epidemicsound.com/

I get my inspiration from music, photos on Instagram, Tumblr fashion trends, things that I love. There are times where I am just in an Artist's Block and I feel really brain dead where I can't draw. Or I force myself to draw and it never turns out to be something that I like. 7. Do you have any links or books you can recommend? Definitely! Fashion Illustration by Anna Kiper and Fashion Poses for Fashion Illustrators by Sha Tahmasebi are two books that I own at the moment. I'm hoping to get more. These two books are very helpful if you're a beginner or even if you want to be a bit more advanced.
