At first I told myself I had to do sport so I can feel better in my mind and my body. I had to start this journey, I think I needed it. I was at this point you don't feel great or proud when trying clothes in fitting room while shopping. I thought I was like this because of genetic, I had try to run everyday and starve me but nothing had changed, I was a bit fat and there was nothing to do, I had to live with it. And then my boyfriend convinced me that if I wanted to change I could, it was my choice. And thanks to him, I trusted his words and pushed through my limits since then. If you don't feel good right now, just stop asking yourself and start to do something, stop telling you it's too hard for you, 'cause I did it and if I did, you can, I promise. Trust me. When you're doing all you can to be the best version of yourself you can't tell you negative stuff because you give so much, so the only thing you can feel is pride and serenity. Plus, you will have progress and that is really motivating and then it became a way of life, a routine and it's part of your schedule to go to the gym or go for a run, now it's not so hard to push yourself to go sweat. I think changing my not so healthy teenage routine to a much healthier routine is one of the best gift I have made to myself, because it changed it all. I was one of those people who thought that if I was a bit fat it was genetic and there was nothing to do. Then I really put myself into fitness and I saw my body transform little by little. I felt better and better, the look I have on my body has completely changed. A simple example, I was obsessed with the weight I was doing (like many other people ..) and today I do not care. I know that the physical result is more important than the number on the scale. If you want to change, you can, just start without giving you excuses. If I did it, you can do it too ! I promise ! You will feel good in your body and your mind ! For me sport became a habit, something that was part of my schedule. The gym, has become a moment for me, to make me feel good. It's no longer a transformation in a short term, it's a way of life. And physical progress naturally follows from training at the Gym and eating well. I totally devoted to bodybuilding, I did not do any cardio at all but I do my own HIITs workouts . I have noticed that since I only do bodybuilding, I have never progressed so much physically as in my performances. This is what I like with bodybuilding, you can really see your progress, increasing your weights, which allows to build self-confidence and always push its limits. It is one of the hardest things I have ever done. Insanity was a major challenge, but I am proud to say that I completed it. I started my journey at 190. When I gave birth to my daughter I was 210 lbs. I lost a little bit of weight with breastfeeding, but not much. I did not feel like I was myself in my body. I was very depressed. A friend of mine suggested Shakeology and Chalean Extreme to me. After Chalean Extreme and Shakeology, I was hungry for more. So I tackled Insanity! I was nervous at first, but it got easier and I start to see some major fat come off my body. Breastfeeding and Insanity was challenging, but I was able to keep my milk supply up with eating clean and drinking Shakeology. I went from 190-141. From a size 12 to a size 4. Beach Body Transformation - Only 20 weeks Freeletics Running!!!
Hi, I’m Sunny and I wanted to share my body transformation with you. I was one of the first people to test the Freeletics Running app and as you can see, in 20 weeks I lost 14kg / 31lbs and 3 dress sizes! I’m really proud of my journey, so I wanted to share it with you guys - maybe it can motivate you too. ►►► http://www.frltcs.com/Freeletics-Running When I started working full time I was always too tired and lazy to do sport or cook healthy foods. So before I realised it, I had put on a lot of weight. I wasn’t happy with myself anymore and wanted to hide away. So I looked for something new to challenge me - because if it doesn’t challenge you, it doesn’t change you!! I never really did much running before - I did Freeletics bodyweight the year before but I felt too unfit to do that again. I didn’t think running would be that hard. But at the beginning I was wrong. I didn’t know how unfit I had become! I had to fight through the running workouts my app coach gave me and after the intervals I sometimes felt like I was dying... But I didn’t stop because I really wanted to get in shape again! So I kept running. Even in gross weather. The coach gave me lots of different workouts and distances to run, so I did. And after a while I got better and faster! I was really happy, but then I injured myself and couldn’t run anymore. I thought all my work was going to be for nothing and I got really demotivated..... But after a few weeks I could run again, so I kept going. And that was when I saw changes. The pounds started really dropping and I got better and faster!! It was so motivating! It’s awesome to get your confidence back and feel good at a sport after feeling bad about your body for so long!!! I ran 3 - 4 times a week. Sometimes alone and sometimes with a group. I actually made some really cool girlfriends on my journey and I’m really happy I met them because they helped me to keep going. It was tough, but for me it was worth it! I’m really proud that this time, I didn’t give up. I really love my “new” body and I didn’t think I could transform so much by running. I feel really fit, confident and happy. And I still love to run, because it clears my head and makes me feel good. So try it! Anyone can run. Even if you start slow like me - anything can happen if you keep going! In today’s video I’m going to take you all through my Bodyfat percentage after about 4 months of cutting. This is a follow up to the first scan video, and if you want to watch that you can click here, or the link in my description. If you’re new here, please do subscribe to my channel and if you like these updates, then give this video a like! My start weight for this cut was 152.8lbs after a long off-season from powerlifting and a slow bulk. I intentionally gained weight to put on muscle in the off season My first DEXA at the very beginning of my cut weighed me in at 152.8lbs with 22.7% body fat, and my most recent one, taken about 4 months after the first scan weighed me at 145.3lbs and 19.8% body fat. ----- How I did it ----- Before we get into the other measurements of the scan, I want to take a moment to describe what I did to lose the weight and body fat. Training: I trained 4 days a week in preparation for my upcoming powerlifting meet. I did not include any extra cardio, HIIT, etc. workouts. Since I’m getting closer to a meet, my overall powerlifting volume lowered as intensity increased during prep. Most of you watching might not be prepping for a powerlifting meet, so if you want a muscle building program, then I suggest to check out my program on Bodybuilding.com called UPLIFTED. I’ll leave a link for it below Nutrition: Since dropping some of my accessories or ‘bro stuff’ I did notice that my appetite decreased dramatically. To guide me through my cut I used the Renaissance Periodization diet template. I also used the same service for my bulk. I am sponsored by RP, so if you want to use the same nutrition guidelines I used, then check out the nutrition link below, and you can use my discount code for an additional $10 off. ----- What it means ----- Weight, Bodyfat, Lean Tissue Measurement Again, my overall weight loss total was 7.5lbs. 5.8lbs of that weight loss was body fat, and 1.7lbs of it was lean tissue. With any cut, you do have to expect that some lean tissue will be lost, but the goal will be of course to limit that as much as possible. Hydration levels can affect the amount of lean tissue read on the DEXA scan, and non-fat matter is read as lean tissue. My most recent scan, as opposed to my first scan was earlier in the day, so I’d like to assume that I was more hydrated on my first scan. For future scans, I’ll be sure to control hydration so that the tests are more controlled. So I get a more accurate and consistent scan. https://www.bodyspec.com/blog/post/will_drinking_water_affect_my_scan —— Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR) I think newer lifters or people just beginning their fitness journey can benefit most from a scan like this by finding the Resting Metabolic Rate. RMR is the minimum number of estimated calories your body requires daily, at rest. You could estimate this number without a DEXA scan, but I do find it nice that Bodyspec includes this in our scan. My initial RMR was 1,469 calories a day, and is now 1,454 calories a day. It is only a 15 calorie difference, which is nice to see in the scan because I know that maintaining my current pace wouldn’t be a difficult lifestyle to lead. —— Bone Report This report gives an overview of bone strength. Powerlifters, and anyone in the habit of resistance training have stronger bones than the rest of the world. This is why I suggest resistance training to everyone, especially with Osteoporosis and bone density deficiencies being a problem with women, lifting can help limit risk of brittle bone disease. My Z-score is over a full point greater than 99% of the population. That has me happy about my own score but also thinking “THESE PEOPLE SHOULD BE LIFTING” —— VAT -Visceral Fat Fat that is stored within the abdominal cavity and stored around important organs like the liver, pancreas and intensities. This type of fat is shown to play a distinctive and potentially dangerous role and higher amounts of fat are associated with increased risks of a number of health problems, including Type 2 Diabetes and breast cancer. The scored number VAT should be as low as possible, with a target of zero VAT. I’m happy to see this number go down, and some of the other reads motivate me for performance and vanity, this in particular does motivate me to continue on with my fitness and health journey. ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••­­­••••••••••• Hi, I'm Meg. My 1 Year Body Transformation (Calisthenics) From Skinny To Ripped I use to be someone who was super skinny, weak, frail and i looked like a completely beta male with no physical appeal to females at all but just over 1 year ago i made the choice to change my physique and appearance fully by training intensely and consistently with body weight training with calisthenics, no body building! I managed to go from a skinny male weighing just a mere 55kgs/121lbs at my lowest weight to a ripped muscular alpha male weighing in at 70kgs/154lbs all within just one year! This journey was far from easy, there was times were i wanted to give up and just quit but i just kept pushing forward because i wanted to succeed with reaching my physique and fitness goals as much as i wanted to breathe. A holistic definition of fitness is described by Greg Glassman in the CrossFit journal as an increased work capacity across broad times and modal domains; mastery of several attributes of fitness including strength, endurance, power, speed, balance and coordination and being able to improve the amount of work done in a given time with any of these domains. A well rounded fitness program will improve a person in all aspects of fitness, rather than one, such as only cardio/respiratory endurance or only weight training. A comprehensive fitness program tailored to an individual typically focuses on one or more specific skills, and on age- or health-related needs such as bone health. Many sources also cite mental, social and emotional health as an important part of overall fitness. This is often presented in textbooks as a triangle made up of three points, which represent physical, emotional, and mental fitness. Physical fitness can also prevent or treat many chronic health conditions brought on by unhealthy lifestyle or aging. Working out can also help some people sleep better and possibly alleviate some mood disorders in certain individuals. Developing research has demonstrated that many of the benefits of exercise are mediated through the role of skeletal muscle as an endocrine organ. That is, contracting muscles release multiple substances known as myokines which promote the growth of new tissue, tissue repair, and various anti-inflammatory functions, which in turn reduce the risk of developing various inflammatory diseases.
