We found some amazing Sichuan style Tibetan street food along the way. We start out by visiting a local street food noodle joint and then traveled along the 318 highway that goes all the way from Shanghai to Tibet. We stopped in a small village along the way to enjoy some Sichuan style Tibetan street food and then kept moving on our street food tour to Litang. We are traveling in China on a 6 week street food journey through Sichuan and Yunnan, in search of the best street food and to discover unknown street food and chat with friendly locals. 23:31
This is day 4 of our Sikkim travel. North sikkim has so many waterfalls, such a beautiful journey. North Sikkim is one of the places to visit in Sikkim Clouds, waterfalls, calm place and so much more during this journey, we also enjoyed amazing brunch at one of the food joints. If you want to support this channel, please visit: https://www.patreon.com/visa2explore Details of places visited by us is given below: Distance between Gangtok to Lachen North Sikkim 135 Km 1.Naamsingh WaterFall 2. Seven Sisters Waterfall Samosa ₹10 & Tea ₹10 nearby to this Waterfall 3. We bought some Vegetables from Local Vegetable Shop for our onward journey, as advised by our Driver, you will not get these in Lachen. If you want to have Traditional food you can bought some Vegetables. 4. Country BA & Restaurant: They are really good on traditional food. Every food we had at this place was lifetime experience. If you enjoy traditional food then this is a great place... Fooding & Lodging Address - Tingchim Zero, North Sikkim, Opp. IInd Last Petrol Pump of North Sikkim Traditional Meal - ₹ 250 Contact number - 9002774881, 9647853099, There is no telecom network at this place so these numbers may not be of much help.. 5. Singhik View Point, Mangan You will get to see beautiful scenic view from this point. We went there in Monsoon weather we could not see the Mt. Kanchenjunga, otherwise from this point, Mount kanchenjunga can be seen clearly. We did this journey through a local travel agency, its name is Tamu travels… Lalit is the owner: Tamu Tour and travels Development area, Gangtok east Sikkim. http://www.tamutourandtreks.com/ 9832564013 9002069916. This journey from Gangtok to North Sikkim then west and south Sikkim for us was about 7 nights and 8 days.. It costed us Rs 35k… 35k is only for taxi for 8 days. Other costs are extra. This 8 day journey is for North, south and west Sikkim. We paid Rs 2500 for taxi per day in Gangtok, that was for 8 hours.. they charge extra if you hire beyond 8 hours.. we virtually ended up paying about Rs 3300 to 3500 per day for local sight seeing bcoz we had taxi with full for full day early morning to late evening. This complete complete journey from Gangtok to Lachen in North sikkim took us about 13 hours…. Reason it took time was bcoz we stopped for food, shoot took time plus every 30 minutes we took break to see and enjoy the beauty… If you want to plan this journey, i will suggest you to get your bookings done properly because it involves permit. We did this journey during last week of June 2018, which is an off season time… Important note for this journey: Avoid rainy season. Travel in either feb or March or in oct and nov to enjoy sikkim the most. Check with your travel agent on the fact whether can travel to North sikkim or not because some of the routes are closed because of snow. Cost for minimum low cost travel two and a half days in Gangtok will be about Rs 11000 - details in description of previous episodes of Gangtok: Taxi cost for travel to North or other regions of Sikkim: Rs 3500 per day, for certain cost moment you are 2 people cost goes high. for example i have put 400 fare from siliguri to Gangtok for one person so you have to adjust if you are two. Food Rs 1500 hotel: Rs 2000 For every day that you travel in Sikkim minimum cost will be Rs 7000. North sikkim i don't think you can travel by bus, i am not sure, suggest check with some one else...but yes you can travel to other districts of sikkim by bus, check details with tourism office in MG marg Gangtok for details. MG marg is the place which is heart of Gangtok, try taking a hotel near MG marg. Sikkim is over all expensive, so be sure on costs bcoz your budgets can over shoot, especially if you are going in peak season. Cost that you are see are of off season, during season every thing is atleast 30 percent higher on cost... If you have any experience of sikkim travel, do share that in comments below. I would look forward to hear back from you in this regard. Thanks Harish bali

The Ultimate Indonesian Food Day Trip - HUGE Nasi Liwet Feast!

28:14
►Check out my list of 50 incredible Indonesian foods: https://migrationology.com/indonesian-food/ ►Ken's channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCtMgyCDsju9EtUf2yBM0aZw During my trip to Jakarta, I mostly remained in the city. But Ken and Gratiana from http://cowokrakus.com/ invited my wife Ying and I to go with them and their family on an Indonesian food trip to Bogor and the surrounding region (about an hour from Jakarta). Our first stop when we drove out of Jakarta and to Bogor was a famous place to eat Bogor style laksa at a restaurant called Laksa Bogor Pak Inin. It was exactly my kind of a restaurant, open air and local, with a wonderful friendly environment. The laksa was unlike any other laksa I’ve ever had, and it was fantastic. Laksa Bogor - 10,000 IDR ($0.72) Next, we stopped at a place called Toge Goreng Pak Abung, which is another legendary Indonesian food stop in Bogor, Indonesia, and they are famous for serving a bean sprout snack. It was definitely a very interesting dish, including a mixture of bean sprouts and fermented soy beans. Toge Goreng - 7,000 IDR ($0.51) Next we drove into the beautiful Indonesian countryside and to the house. After having some Indonesian snacks and refreshing coconut, we then took a hike to go look for honey. The beekeeper was sick on the day we went, so we we’re able to get any honey, but it was still a beautiful hike. The highlight of this Indonesian food trip for me was the Sundanese style Nasi Liwet Botram family feast that we had. All the food was laid out on banana leaves, and we all sat and ate some of the most beautiful and flavorful Indonesian food. It was an incredible culinary experience. We drove back to Bogor and stopped at Warung Nasi Ampera to eat a quick dinner, and because I wanted to try some ikan pepes. The food was alright, but nothing compared to the lunch feast we had eaten! Total price - 103,000 IDR ($7.46) for 3 plates of food Finally, back in Jakarta, we stopped near Manga Besar to have some desserts and to finish of this incredible day of Indonesian food. Sekoteng - 12,000 IDR ($0.87), Wedang Ronde - 12,000 IDR ($0.87) It was an incredible Indonesian food trip to the outskirts of Bogor, and a nice opportunity to get out of Jakarta for the day. A big thank you to Ken, Gratiana, and her family for inviting us to their house country house and for the amazing food. -- KEN: Videos : https://www.youtube.com/c/cowokrakustube Blog: http://cowokrakus.com/ MY WEBSITES: Migrationology.com: http://migrationology.com/ EatingThaiFood.com: http://eatingthaifood.com/ TravelByYing.com: http://travelbyying.com/ Camera I use: https://migrationology.com/travel-resources/ T-shirts: https://migrationology.com/store/ Get e-mail updates: https://migrationology.com/free-updates SOCIAL MEDIA: Snapchat: @migrationology Instagram: https://instagram.com/migrationology Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/migrationology ►Jakarta Travel Guide: https://migrationology.com/travel-guides/jakarta-indonesia/ ►50 of the Best Indonesian Dishes: https://migrationology.com/indonesian-food/ -- Thank you for watching this Indonesian food video!

Food Journey Afghanistan Full Documentary

31:18
Afghan cuisine has a style of its own. Fatty dishes are an important fuel in this nation of harsh landscapes and freezing winters, with oil used liberally and mutton fat traditionally added to many dishes. Unlike some in their region, Afghans like their food neither too spicy nor too hot, and they are renowned for their use of dried fruit and nuts.

Street Food in Ghana - GIANT CHOP-BAR LUNCH and West African Food Tour in Accra!

25:16
This was an incredible day of street food in Ghana! ►Check out Jay: https://www.instagram.com/mukasechic/ ►SUBSCRIBE for 2 new videos per week: http://bit.ly/MarkWiensSubscribe ►T-shirts and caps available now: https://migrationology.com/store/ Jay (Mukase Chic) is an amazing woman, so positive and talented, and so much fun to hang out with and eat with! She’s a food personality, a chef, a restauranteur, a blogger - she’s incredible. Check out her Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/mukasechic/) and YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC8y8uGewOe2NAuNQALV_uaw). Anyway, so Jay took me an ultimate street food tour in Accra, here’s all the amazing food we ate: Red red (bean stew) and plantain - This was the first stop, a small stall that Jay has been eating at for years. They fry plantain, and then serve the plantain along with beans stewed in palm nut oil, and combine it with gari, which are cassava flakes. The result, is a filling and very satisfying combination of sweet and tangy plantains with salty oily beans. What’s key as Jay explained to me is the palm nut oil, which provides so much oil and fragrance. It was delicious, and a perfect way to begin this Ghanaian street food tour in Accra! Total price - 4 GHC ($0.90) Nima Market - Next we caught a taxi to Nima Market, known for its spices. We tried everything we could find, which was quite a lot of snacks here and there. The market was fantastic to walk around, full of action and energy. I didn’t realize until after we finished eating, but we didn’t eat any meat or chicken at all! It was true vegetarian HEAVEN! We started out the day with an AMAZING Indian breakfast in two different Indian street food restaurants. The first was the famous Amritsar Kulcha. I’m pretty sure you can get this dish in Delhi, but here in Amritsar is the origin of this stuffed baked bread from HEAVEN. It’s stuffed with a spiced potato mix and onions. It’s sprinkled with a masala spice and then put DEEP into the Tandoori oven and baked. It’s served to you on a plate with Chole chickpea curry and onion chutney. The next AMAZING Breakfast we had on our street food tour was the Poori and Chole with Potato sabzi. A little similar with the chole, but the potato sabzi was nice and sweet and tangy and very UNIQUE! Afterwards, we took our TUK TUK around town for some more amazing street foods. We enjoyed a street corner tofu curry served with a pancake and then we went to have a sweet and sour buttermilk lassi. After this, we went to the LEGENDARY Kesar De Dhaba all vegetarian curry restaurant that uses PURE desi ghee. It was extremely flavourful and just a little spicy. We ordered the VEG thali and it was incredible! The paratha bread was so fluffy and covered in pure desi ghee, absolute HEAVEN! We also ate some dessert, a fruit kulfi ice cream! After this we went for a couple more street foods in Amritsar. We were exploring the back lanes and found an amazing mango fruit stall! It was dried and covered in a slightly spicy and sour and tangy sauce. There were a lot of flavours in this Indian recipe. It was spicy, sour, tangy, sweet, peppery, acidic, pungent, and made your mouth pucker when you ate it! Very UNIQUE! After this, we went for our final street food, an ICONIC street food in India, the samosa. It was stuffed with potato, cumin seeds, and spices. The addresses for these street food restaurants in Amritsar, India, are listed below: 1) Breakfast Street Food Kulcha at Monu Kulcha Hut Gali No, 10, Loharka Road, Ranjit Vihar, N.R.I. Colony, NRI Colony, Gumtala, Amritsar, Punjab 143001, India 2) Amazing Poori and Chole and desserts at Kanha Sweets Shop 1, Opposite Bijli Pehalwan Mandir, Lawrence Road, White Avenue, Amritsar 3) Fairly OK veg curry DEEP in the back lanes of Amritsar (honestly can’t remember this address, go for the Kesar De Dhaba instead). 4) Delicious Street Lassi at Ahuja Lassi Near Hindu College, Amritsar, India 5) BEST Vegetarian Curry in the WORLD @ Kesar De Dhaba, Amritsar 6) Amazing Mango sour and spicy dessert at Aam Papad: Ram lubhaya and sons 7) Potato Samosa at Raam samosey wala ABOUT THE FOOD RANGER My name is Trevor James and I'm a hungry traveler and Mandarin learner that's currently living in Chengdu, Szechuan, China, eating up as much delicious . BBC - Italy Unpacked: The Art of the Feast

59:02
Andrew Graham-Dixon and chef Giorgio Locatelli travel through Italy exploring the country's history, culture, food, art and landscape. Their journey begins in Bologna, the capital of Emilia-Romagna, one of the richest regions in Italy. They find out why the city is know as la Dotta (the Learned), la Grassa (the Fat) and la Rossa (the Red), while visiting its shops, art institutions and the oldest university in the world. Andrew and Giorgio experience the social and friendly atmosphere of the region and meet fishermen casting huge nets at the mouth of the river Po. From there, it is a short journey to Ferrara where they discover the legacy left by the famous dynasty d'Este, and to Modena, home of balsamic vinegar and Ferrari. Finally, Giorgio reveals the source of modern Italian cuisine - at the Palatina Library in Parma he views an original copy of the first cook book of the newly united Italy - while Andrew admires Correggio's magnificent fresco in the dome of Parma Cathedral.

Village Cambodian Food - AMAZING Cooking Curry Over Fire in Kampong Cham | Travel in Cambodia!

Subscribe for more videos► http://bit.ly/MarkWiensSubscribe T-shirts for sale here► https://migrationology.com/store/ During my trip to Phnom Penh, Cambodia, I was looking to visit a village nearby to do some cooking and eating and learn about the culture. So after doing some research, I came across OBT Chiro Village in Kampong Cham, not too far away from Phnom Penh. Although by distance it was quite close, because the roads are not fantastic, it takes about 2 hours to arrive. We arrived at about 8 am. The OBT Chiro Village is sponsored by a local Cambodian NGO that educates and empowers children in the village. And they have helped to bring electricity and running water to the village, that sits along the banks of the Mekong River, not far from Kampong Cham, Cambodia. We were greeted by our host family, and as soon as we arrived, we headed over to the main Kampong Cham market to do some shopping for the Cambodian food cooking we were going to do. The market was fantastic, huge, but friendly, and stocked full of fresh ingredients and lots and lots of fruit. The prices were so cheap as well. We bought many of the supplies we needed. After a fully loaded tuk tuk ride back to Chiro Village to start cooking! Along with a couple of different Cambodian dishes, the main dish the family cooked was Khmer curry, a mixture of spices and herbs, pounded into a paste, and cooked along with coconut milk and both pork and chicken. The curry was not very spicy, but had a wonderful lemongrass flavor, and the fresh coconut milk was fantastic. It was a great experience, and we had an amazing time cooking, eating, and visiting with the host family. Thank you! Here’s how much I paid: Price - $22 USD per person for cooking and eating Roundtrip private taxi from Phnom Penh - $100 USD http://www.obtchiro.com/ -- Music in this video: Positronic Emotions https://goo.gl/HwVjdo MY CAMERA GEAR: Main camera: http://amzn.to/2dEL3hv Main lens: http://amzn.to/2e5Lum6 2nd camera: http://amzn.to/2mczuDx 2nd lens: http://amzn.to/2mcEGau Microphone: http://amzn.to/2dEr9Z9 Gorillapod: http://amzn.to/2epFsQx *These are Amazon affiliate links I would love to connect with you! Because of the long coast line, you can expect mild temperatures for the most part. The average temperature decreases as you travel south; January and February are the warmest months with July being the coldest month of the year. Remember to pack your waterproof hiking boots, waterproof rain jacket, swimsuit, flip flops, thin gloves, hiking socks, sunglasses, and a camera with extra batteries. New Zealand's currency is the New Zealand Dollar (NZ$). You should expect to be able to switch between cash and cards quite seamlessly, as all major credit cards can be used in New Zealand. Alcohol and restaurant meals can range from moderate to quite expensive so prepare yourself accordingly. We'd like to thank New Zealand's incredible tourism board for allowing use of their travel footage: http://www.newzealand.com/ ---About New Zealand--- New Zealand, exists on a remote island in the Pacific Ocean and is home to over 4.6 million people, and nearly 30 million sheep. Swiss Food Tour - CHEESE FONDUE and Jumbo Cordon Bleu in Zurich, Switzerland!

27:40
Join me on a one day all out Swiss food tour of Zurich! ►Subscribe - http://bit.ly/MarkWiensSubscribe ►T-shirts - https://migrationology.com/store/ We had one full day in Zurich, Switzerland, and I wanted to make the most of it by going on a Swiss food tour, eating as much food as possible, and walking around and seeing some of the most famou sights and attractions in the beautiful city of Zurich. Here are all the details about everything you’ll find in this video: Zürich, Switzerland Café Henrici - To begin the day for Swiss breakfast, we stopped to have a cup of coffee, and also I wanted a croissant, but they were all out of the morning already, so I settled for a few small slices of bread. It was excellent. Total price for 3 people - 24.40 CHF ($25.75) Lindenhof Hill - This is a great place to get a view over Old Zurich, and it puts the city into perspective and helps you get your bearings, and the views are beautiful. Swiss Chuchi - Thank you to Marcel for this recommendation. In Switzerland for a single day, I needed to eat one of the most well known of all Swiss food, cheese fondue. At Swiss Chuchi restaurant, we enjoyed both cheese fondue and raclette, both of which were excellent and the most cheese I’ve had in a single meal in a very long time. Total price - 126 CHF ($132.98) That included all I ate, and 2 other plates of food. Grossmünster - This church is one of the most recognizable landmarks of Zurich. For a small fee, you can pay to climb to the top of the tower for an amazing view. Price - 4 CHF ($4.22) Lake Zurich - The city of Zurich is surrounds Lake Zurich, which is unbelievably clean and pure. Kronenhalle Restaurant - This is one of the most legendary and classic restaurants in all of Zurich, Switzerland. I didn’t realized it was so expensive and so high end, but we decided to go for it anyway, because I was looking forward to trying their Zürcher Geschnetzeltes, the most well known of all Zurich Swiss food dishes consisting of thin sliced potato paired with veal stew. It’s quite a stunning dish and the version at Kronenhalle Restaurant was absolutely stunning. Total price - 126 CHF ($132.98) Bahnhofstrasse Shopping street Rheinfelder Bierhalle - To finish off this ultimate Swiss food tour of Zurich in a single day we went to Rheinfelder Bierhalle, a beer hall and restaurant in Zurich. I ordered their specialty, Jumbo Jumbo Cordon Bleu. Cordon bleu is another one of the Swiss food dishes you don’t want to miss when you’re in Zurich. Thank you very much for watching this Swiss food tour! FOOD RANGER MERCH NOW AVAILABLE! http://bit.ly/FOODRANGER Follow me on Insta: http://bit.ly/2c5ojch And subscribe to my channel here: http://bit.ly/2cCy2ub Chinese Food Sichuan - Chinese Street Food - Street Food China Chinese food gets more interesting the deeper you go. I set off for Chinese street food and cuisine in deep southern Sichuan province by bicycle. I rode my bike down deep into Southern China's lush and mountainous liangshan region, in search of delicious Chinese street food and Chinese food. The Chinese food really was different in this region. The liangshan region is home to Chinese Yi ethnic minority, who have their own cuisine. It was very rural and in some areas also very poor, so I had difficulty finding the yi cuisine at first. Later in the second half of the video, I found a Yi restaurant and had a Chinese food feast! The little village I visited was called Butuo, about 120 km from Xichang. The Grand Bazaar: Munchies Guide To Tehran (Part 1/3)

10:33
When it comes to Tehran, it's impossible to avoid politics and easy to overlook the Iranian city's thriving culinary scene. In our first installment of The MUNCHIES Guide to Tehran, our host Gelareh Kiazand introduces us to the bustling street food offerings in the city. We begin our journey at the capital city's Grand Bazaar, since that's where commodities first arrive. Gelareh beelines for the market's food stands, where she samples dried fruits and nuts while waiting out the line at Moslem Restaurant, frequented by up to 5,000 kebab connoisseurs daily—well worth it for her favorite tah chin. At the more modest and bygone Tajrish Bazaar, she's the proverbial kid in a candy store, wading through copper and carpet vendors in search of sweet snacks, such as grape molasses and lavasak (fruit leather).
