In this video, I teach how to perform Shin Lim's Americas Got Talent final card trick. This is a fantastic little effect that is a classic in card magic. As seen in Shin's performance, it is a very powerful and impressive trick which is surprisingly simple to do.

Shin Lim is a very talented magician who has greatly inspired me to become a better magician myself. I think it's amazing how he has the ability to captivate and hold an entire audience with nothing but a deck of cards.
This trick involves some key principles in magic including a card peak, and magicians choice. Both of these are very simple to do with a little bit of practice. However, if you find them hard, replace the card peak with a card force and instead of using magicians choice, just give the spectators their piles.
Of course, revealing anything on the internet is controversial. Whilst I think that YouTube tutorials are great, revealing other peoples creations online is most certainly wrong unless that trick/slights is in the public domain. However, 'Easy Tricks and Routines' by James Cryer (a book in the public domain published nearly 100 years ago) teaches an effect which is identical to this (apart from the fact you force a card, you don't let them have a free choice) and therefore I feel like this is a trick that can be taught on YouTube. Thank you for reading this far :)
