The Man-at-Arms Surcoat

07:02
The knight of the High Medieval Period is almost always depicted wearing a brightly colored surcoat, often with a symbol or distinctive pattern. But what primary purpose did surcoats serve? What benefits did they provide? This is the first upload of a series that adheres strictly to history. Often I put as many as 50 to 100 hours of work into a video. Some of that time is spent shooting, a fair percentage in editing, and still a greater portion on crafting a project or tutorial. The result is that I’m limited to doing just a handful of uploads each month. But I can do more uploads if they’re “no frills,” just history. Chivalry: Medieval Warfare multiplayer gameplay #3: Men at Arms going choppy.

14:47
LTS game on Ruins with PrussianPrince and GamerDudester. Chivalry: Medieval Warfare battle system revolves around timings and distance control. If you don't have prior FPS experience - try vanguard (high range, medium armour) or knight (medium range, high armour) for starters. Try to use third-person mode, you may find it easier. Basics, that are good to know: - Any melee attack can be parryed by any melee weapon (you have to look at a tip of enemy weapon, I mean it). - Parry can be countered by feinting an attack or delaying it by using real-time swing-control (which allows to land a hit after parry animation played off). - Shield block can be maintained persistently, but countered by a kick. - You can cancel enemy attack by landing your own during his attack wind-up time (fast weapons ftw). - You can duck under or jump over wild horizontal swings (risky, but satisfying). - Learn to stab. Stabbing saves a lot of friendly lives. Trading blows/parrys/feints is like Russian roulette, so if you want to take things at your own hands - learn to maintain proper distance. Get out of range when enemy attacks, and get back in right when his strike went by, but remember - he can combo attacks together, so time window for you to use is quite small. To get into that window - start your own attack before going in. It takes a lot of practice (and a decent ping), since all weapons have different ranges and speeds. It pays off. Last, but not the least: this is a team game, don't rely on duelling skills too much. Like what I do? Subscribe!

Join McKenzie as she goes in great detail about this fine piece. A spectacular weapon which replicates the styling seen in medieval era Germany, the Man at Arms Grosse Messer by Cold Steel is an enormous sword which is wieldable in either one or two hands and features a single razor sharp edge. Its wide blade features a straight design which curves upward at the tip to form a fine point. This blade is crafted from high quality 1055 carbon steel which provides its exceptional durability and ability to hold a devastatingly sharp edge. This battle ready sword has a straight guard and a sleek hardwood grip which adds to its medieval appeal. Chivalry Medieval Warfare Tactics UPDATED (CU2): The Man at Arms, aka Medieval Lollerskates

13:50
It was a only a matter of time before I revisited my personal favorite Chivalry class, the man at arms, who has the innate ability to both absolutely destroy enemies and annoy them to their bitter end with his unmatched speed and agility. Chivalry is by far the funnest game involving swords and removable heads, and I mean both at the same time of-course. So if you don't have it already, I implore you to donate a kidney and buy this $25 game for your self (or you could just open your wallet, that'll work to): http://www.chivalrythegame.com/. Watch in 1080p to experience the full annoyance that the man at arm imposes upon his foes.

Chivalry: Medieval Warfare multiplayer gameplay #6: Men at Arms on Arena.

09:01
Men at Arms Arena gameplay with PrussianPrince, Riksosten and Shepard. Subscribe!
