There are three ways that we could affect stubborn belly fat and that's through weight training cardiovascular training and nutrition. That's it there's no way to Target fat burn there's no special exercises to burn belly fat. Let's start first with weight training. Weight training is extremely important believe It or Not To Burn stubborn fat. You see everyone's body has a basal metabolic rate. and contrary to popular belief you can drink all the water you want, eat six seven meals a day, and drink coffee, and eat spicy food, however the only thing that is actually linked to a significant increase in your metabolism is an increase in lean body mass. Meaning if we can build more muscle we can eat more food and still burn more fat. A lot of people just get stuck in always trying to cut down. You cut back on calories and then when you plateau you cut back further add some more cardio. Let me tell you something from experience when we get clients that have very little muscle mass it becomes exponentially more difficult to make them lose weight. As everyone else is losing 3, 4 pounds a week they're losing one every other week. This is a hugely Overlook Factor especially by women. Remember even though your ultimate goal is to burn fat your goal with weight training has to be to build muscle because that's ultimately going to be the thing that helps you burn fat the most. Now what's the best way to build muscle with weight training. If your natural like most of the people that watch this channel then you absolutely must strive to lift heavier and heavier weights. Unless you're somebody that enjoys doing hundreds of reps of calaesthetics upping the weights is the best way to ensure that you progressively overload your muscles. Training heavy also helps increase a natural lifters ability to synthesize protein which is again super important for building muscle and building up your metabolism. Now there's been a lot of people that have made the claim that working your sets until failure is a bad idea and doesn't pay off. This is wrong. yes maximal muscle fiber recruitment is necessary to stimulate protein synthesis. And yes you can achieve maximal muscle fiber recruitment with a heavy load and with a light load. However the problem is that most people that use light weights stop before ever achieving maximal muscle fiber recruitment. That's why training to failure especially when you're not in a lab being studied is a far better idea for building muscle. When you fail you can be almost certain that you achieved maximal muscle fiber recruitment and in turn you'll have an increase in muscle protein synthesis. The bottom line is make sure that you're going heavy with your weights at least 3 days a week and if you want more information on sets and Reps I'll include a link at the end for a video i made earlier that dives deep into structuring and setting up your weight training program. Let's talk about element number two which is cardio. You don't want to do just any regular kind of cardio. Especially when a lot of people that have stubborn belly fat need to be working on building muscle. Doing a lot of long duration cardio like jogging for miles is not gonna help you build muscle and it's truly not the most effective way to burn fat. The best type of cardio that you can do for fat loss is interval training. There are tons of different forms of interval training but I'm just going to give you one very simple approach for your cardio workouts. You sprint for 60 seconds and then you walk for 60 seconds. If you're a little more advanced you can Sprint for 60 seconds and then jog for 60 seconds. The cool thing is as opposed to long duration cardio you're going to be done with this work out in just 20 minutes. Now keep in mind to do this correctly and to experience the fat burning effects when you sprint you have to Sprint. Whenever you're doing interval training, when you're doing the "work" interval you almost always want a maximum effort. By doing this type of interval training this is going to invoke the afterburn effect

People have stubborn fat in all kinds of places but the most common spots are the belly the thighs the bat wings and the love handles. Even though stubborn fat is a little harder to get rid of you're going to be more than prepared to deal with all your stubborn fat after watching this video. First let me just clarify that we can't Target fat burn and no this is not one of the secrets because most people already know this. You can't choose a particular section or area of your body that you want to burn fat for and target it. So even though you might have stubborn belly fat there's no way to do certain exercises that will decrease just your belly fat. Fat loss happens across our whole body so while you're burning fat from your belly you're also give me burning fat from your toes hands your face and from your whole body. So when we're looking for a way to burn fat faster from a particular area we're really looking for a way to burn fat faster across our whole body in general. The first way that we're going to do this is by depleting our gas tank and keeping that gas tank really low. So your body has a gas tank and instead of running off of gas it runs off of glycogen. Most people think that glycogen only comes from carbs but the truth is that protein can also very easily be converted into glucose and stored away for later use. When your gas tank is full of glycogen your body will use the glycogen and spare your fat cells whenever it needs energy. Whether that be energy for going about your regular day or energy for completing your workout either way your body is going to prefer to use glucose. The only way that we're going to get access to the fat cells is after the glycogen stores have already been depleted. So if we can deplete the glycogen stores and keep them depleted we can speed up the fat loss process. So how do we deplete glycogen. Well one very simple way is by not consuming too much glycogen and again protein don't forget can be converted into glycogen so I'm not necessarily advocating a low-carb diet here because low-carb diets are not the only way to burn through your glycogen stores and start burning fat. You can do it a number of different ways but the key is to maintain a negative calorie balance in order to use all the stored glucose. You can even do a pure carb diet where you only have carbohydrates and still burn through all the glycogen just by maintaining a calorie deficit. I know this because I've done it myself before and I have a whole video about it. So first of all you can have to maintain a calorie deficit second of all you should incorporate some heavy weight training. There is no better way to burn glucose then through anaerobic training. Anaerobic training involves exercises that require you to use primarily glycogen rather than oxygen for energy. Almost all weight training as long as the weight is heavy enough will be considered anaerobic training and will help you deplete your glycogen stores faster. I recommended their minimum of 3 days a week of weight training but with 5 days a week you're going to burn through a lot more of that glucose so if your schedule allows try to do weight training more frequently. Remember once that glucose is out of the way that's when you have direct access to your fat stores that's actually why ketogenic diets work so well for fat loss, they actually switch your body's main source of fuel from glycogen over to ketones that come from fat. The second thing that you can do is fasting. This is another excellent way to decrease glucose in your body and empty out the gas tank but that's not the only reason why fasting is so good for fat loss. Insulin is your fat storage hormone. To make it really simple when your insulin levels are high it is virtually impossible to burn fat. When insulin and blood sugar levels are low glucagon is released to draw energy from your cells. So now instead of pudding glucose into your cells this will pull from your cells. Glucagon and insulin are opposites and you really only going to get one or the other. again to burn fat we want to try to keep our insulin levels low and insulin levels dont get much lower then where they'll be at when your fasting. The pont is that fasting is one of the fastest and the best ways to keep your insulin levels really low. Also when you fast usually it's a lot easier to maintain a calorie deficit throughout the day.

That's why most people completely miss it & they continue going through the cycle of dieting & doing lots of cardio with no results. Befire i just assume that everyone watching this video is on the same page I do want to mention that diet obviously has a lot to do with this. So if you haven't even tried changing your diet & you're still eating Pop-Tarts & frozen microwavable dinners then I highly addvocate that you first clean up your diet before you move on to this method. Because for some of you simply changing up your diet & switching junk food out for some real natural single ingredient options can completely change your body around. But if you have already done that then this video is gonna help you a lot with what your next step should be. First understand what skinny fat is. Typically a skinny fat person will have a good BMI which stands for body mass index & in short it's a measure of your height to weight ratio. If you have a good BMI it just means that for your height you have a good weight. However the other thing that a typical skinny fat person will have is an elevated body fat percentage. So if your skinny fat it tells us two things it doesn't only tell us that your body fat percentage is high but it also tells us that your lean body mass is low because if both your lean body mass & your body fat percentage were high then your BMI would not show up as normal, you'd be considered overweight. So as somebody that falls into this category you can't just continue focusing on burning fat because that's only going to solve half the problem & it'll do nothing to address the issue with your lean body mass. That's why your number one goal when you fall into this skinny fat category has to be to build strength. Now I know that might sound surprising, how's building strength going to help you lose that last bit of fat? Right? Well im telling you it will because by building strength you're going to be solving the bigger issue. As a natural building strength is one of the only ways & the best ways that you can stimulate protein synthesis & build more muscle while increasing your metabolic rate. Now I don't want you guys to just go full out in to bulk mode because you can wind up gaining a whole bunch of body fat & find yourself even more frustrated. I'm going to give you very specific instructions down to the very percentages of what I want you to do if you find yourself in this skinny fat predicament because I've been there before & I know it can be frustrating so I want to help you guys out. So you have two options one of them involves a lot more discomfort but if you can make it through the discomfort then I think you'll be able to fix this faster & more efficiently. The only question you have to ask yourself is are you willing to get even a little fatter before you get ripped? Now I know most of the people that clicked on this video would say no I do not want to get any fatter so I'll start there. If you're dead set on starting to work the fat off I don't want you to create a more drastic calorie deficit. I want your deficit to be right around five to ten percent from your maintenance calories. Now I know you might have heard me in numerous videos talking about going for a higher caloric deficit sometimes up to 45 percent from maintenance.............. that advice is not for you. Again the reason why you're having this problem is because of your lean body mass & you will not fix it by cutting more calories. The key to styling straight, stubborn hair is to use- HARD wax, you can get them at your local chemist/drug store. I got mine (MUK in redish-orange) at Hair Warehouse on sale, 2 for $25AUD. Other products such as, American Crew may also have hard Wax, not too sure about Gatsby though, just have a look and touch through all the testers. So today I want to go over the 10 most effective exercises for weight loss that you could do right in your own living room. The exercises that i go over today require no equipment and the reason why theyre more effective than others is because they're going to work mulriple joints and muscle groups at the same time and theyre gonna get your heart rate and your breathing rate up way up. You can combine all of these exercises into one workout simply by using on and off intervals. The training style that I recommend for this type of workout is short intervals. 20 seconds on and then ten seconds off then repeat each exercise for 8 rounds before taking a minute break and moving on to the next. Training in a high intensity way like this will allow you to burn more calories in a shorter amount of time. Before I jump into the first one I do have to State the obvious and that's the fact that if you want to lose weight or burn fat you do have to make sure that you're keeping it clean in the kitchen as well. These arent magical exercises that was somehow counterbalance eating junk everyday. But by doing this work out a couple times a week and watching what you eat I'm sure that anyone can lose weight and body fat with these exercises. Let's start with number 1. its a combination of jumping jacks and burpees. Burpees are by far one of the most effective exercises to get your heart rate up while also working your upper and your lower body. Most people know how to do a jumping jack start standing straight up then jump your feet out and raise your arms over your head and you're going to do that 5 times. Then you would perform the burpee by bending your back and lowering yourself down to the ground. As you place your hands on the floor. Next you're going to jump your feet out and get into a push-up position lower yourself down for the push-up then hop your feet back in and jump up. If this is too advanced for you you can walk your feet out one foot at a time instead of hoping. Regardless of whether you're a beginner or advanced the sequence is five jumping jacks one Burpee 5 jumping jacks one Burpee back and forth. Next we have the mountain climber sit through drill. For this one you're going to perform 4 mountain climbers for every two sit throughs. Most people know how to do mountain climbers. These are the same mountain climbers that you've probably done in gym class. Every time that you hop one of your knees up to your chest it counts as one. So you shuffle your feet 4 times and then you do 2 sit throughs. The sit through is done by starting in a pushup postion then lifting one hand off the ground and your opposite leg off the ground. Bring your hand up to your head and kick your opposite leg through as you turn your hips and your body enough for your butt to barely tap the ground. Then return back to the pushup and repeat for the other side. Once you're done with those 2 sit throughs go right back to mountain climbers. Next is the plyo step up. This one is not only great for your footwork, balance, and coordination, but it's also a great exercise to burn a bunch of calories. All you need is a step below knee level. You can use a low chair or even the bottom stair ledge in your house. Start with one foot on the platform, put your weight on that foot & jump up as you switch your feet. Do this back & forth repeating for the full time. I know it doesn't look like much, but like I said you will be breathing heavy after doing this one for 20 seconds straight & especially after eight rounds. If you have knee problems & can't jump up & down you can just alternate stepping up side to side. Moving on to exercise number four the spider man pushup. This one does require a lot of upper body strength so if you're a beginner just stick to regular pushups or you can also do pushups on your knees if regular pushups are too hard. The key with all of these exercises is to perform the exercise in the most intense way that you can & then regress as it gets harder. So you can start by doing a couple reps of the spiderman pushups & then regress to regular pushups.

These machines are not only a waste of time but they are also dangerous for your lower back. All these selectorizor ab machines are locked into a range of motion, meaning that your joints & your disks can't travel down their natural path, you can only travel down the path that the machine has set for you. Even if you adjust the machine to your body perfectly, which by the way is very hard to do, but even if you somehow had a machine customized for your body you can still easily run into lower back issues because you're still locked in a set range of motion throughout the entire exercise. Besides a greater potential for a lower back injury you will also get significantly less results from these machines than if you stuck to regular ab exercises like crunches, hanging knee tucks, & declined situps. The reason is once again due to the fact that your locked into a range of motion. The core's main responsibility is stabilization. And it's important to improve your functional core strength because your core isn't only responsible for stabilizing your trunk but it stabilizes your whole body. It is the bridge that connects your lower body to your upper body. When you're locked in a range of motion you take all of the stabilization normally required for ab exercises out of the movement. The really ironic part is that those abdominal stabilizer muscles that you're not working on these machines are very important to strengthen in order to prevent the lower back injury that you'll likely experience on one of these machines. Due to the fact that you're not working your stabilizers you're missing out on all of those deep tissue abdominal muscles like your transverse abdominus & your only targeting mostly your rectus abdominus which is the very outer layer six pack looking muscle. The transverse abdominus is very important to work because not only does it help prevent injury, but it also pulls your stomach in keeping everything nice & tight giving you that flat stomach look. If you want to make your ab exercises tougher use weights by simply holding a dumbbell or a plate either behind your head or accross your chest while doing regular traditional ab exercises. Once again if you don't know where to start start with exercises like stability ball crunches, declined situps, & hanging knee tucks. The next exercise you should avoid is the behind the head shoulder press. First off there is absolutely no advantage to going behind your head. None. Even though I'm sure some old school guys will be disagreeing with me in the comments below you can research this yourself & you'll find that when you go behind the head you're still targeting the same muscles that you would if you went in front of your head & there's no advantage when going behind your head that will allow you to build your shoulder muscle faster.

Most guys fall in the trap of searching for some special fat burning exercise / supplements / method while in reality they just need to cut calories more. And it really comes down to dealing with satiety and hunger on a daily basis when you start hitting those very low body fat percentages. Once again, anyone that's not a competitor doesn't have to deal with stubborn belly fat. That's just the final few % remaining that won't make ANY difference for a normal individual. And to get rid of that final % takes more effort than getting from Fat to having your abs completely visible. It's just not worth the time and energy investment unless it's your profession. In general when it comes to weight loss a lot of people have completely miss-managed expectations. And we've been brainwashed over and over by the mainstream to think that fat loss should be effortless and easy. That there's no hunger or that you can lose pounds and pounds of fat on a weekly basis. However in reality things don't work like that. Everyone is happy before the first fat loss plateau or when hunger kicks in. Then instead of dealing with that because people had wrong expectations in the first place they quit and fall off. One study showed how unrealistic are expectations of most people, when they asked them how much weight they wanna lose the average was 32% of total body weight lost in a few months. That's an insane target, even for someone who's super skilled and knowledgeable and has all the right habits in place. And we're talking about beginners here. They've been simply brainwashed by shows like "The Biggest Loser", magazines, supplement companies and other main stream media to believe that these numbers are realistic. At the end of the study they lost about half of that target (16%) and almost non were happy about it. And they made A TON of progress.
