Slim Man Style Guide - What To Wear When You Are Skinny & Lean

18:02
Read our in-depth guide here: https://gentl.mn/slim-men-style How to Dress if You’re Shorter: https://gentl.mn/2AbUMdS Tall Men Style Tips: https://gentl.mn/2IYecWu How Many Suits Do You Really Need? https://gentl.mn/2PBkSMI Here are some tips from one slim man to another on how to dress well in order to look healthy and masculine. General Guidelines: 1. Avoid wearing clothing that makes you look frail. Many thin men often try to disguise their frames by wearing clothing that's too large for them thinking that the extra fabric is going to make them look bigger, however, in reality, the opposite is actually true. At the same time, however, thin men should also stay clear of super skinny or skin-tight styles because these two are just going to draw attention to your thin frame. What's the solution then? Simply put you just have to find clothing that's going to fit you just right. 2. Wear colors and patterns that boost your visual heft. As a general rule, lighter colors like white, beige, or pastels are going to make you appear a little bit larger overall. Just as darker colors and the quintessential black are said to be slimming, the opposite effect is true for lighter clothing. Meanwhile, wearing patterns will create a sense of movement in your outfit and will also make you seem larger. 3. Wear multiple layers. With each additional layer you put on, you're going to be adding a bit more bulk. One layer on its own might not necessarily make a difference but if you're wearing multiple layers in conjunction, you'll be able to build up your frame a little bit more. 4. Find ways to make your neck look larger. Turtleneck sweaters are of course the classic choice to create this effect but you also do have other options. For example, you could have a zip neck, a stand collar, or a shawl collar on a sweater in particular. Also, simply wearing a dress shirt with a sturdy collar assisted further by the aid of collar stays is a good way to minimize the appearance of your neck because the pattern of the shirt will be carried upward a little bit by the verticality of the collar. * T-shirts, polos, dress shirts, or any other type of shirt just like any garment in general for the slim man, should fit the body closely without being too tight. * The jacket which is a garment specifically designed to make a man look stronger and give him a more ideal masculine silhouette. Suit jackets, sport coats, and blazers are all designed with the goal of accentuating the features of the male form making the man look more muscular. They achieve this in a variety of ways when it comes to the details of their styling. One way that a jacket does this is by broadening your shoulders. * As we said toward the beginning of the video, slim men won't benefit from wearing pants that are much too baggy nor will they look good in super skinny cuts. Rather you should try to find something in the middle usually that will be labeled, fittingly enough, as slim. * Depending on your own personal preference, a necktie with the width of about two and three-quarters to three and 1/2 inches is going to look good on a slim frame. Just remember that the overall width of your necktie should be relatively in sync with the width of your jacket's lapel so that everything is harmonious overall. * Regarding shoes, go for something understated and on the slim side rather than something more utilitarian and chunky. Loafers are going to be a good bet for you as is anything from an Italian manufacturer as their styles are typically slimmer than some parts elsewhere around the world. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Want to stay updated? Top 10 Men's Style Books

14:58
Get links to the books and more details about them here: https://gentl.mn/SRS-top-style-books SHOP THE VIDEO: 1. Ascot in Brown, Bottle Green, Orange and Madder Blue Silk Large Paisley - https://gentl.mn/2NJdmxi 2. Teal and Purple Shadow Stripe Ribbed Socks - https://gentl.mn/2CM3RMR 1. Dressing The Man It was written in 2002 and contains everything you want to know about classic men's style. It has beautiful photographs, illustration, very good text, it has hands-on graphics that allow you to pick the right patterns, it explains what to do and what not to do and overall, Alan Flusser probably sold more books on classic men's style than any other author in the world. 2. Gentleman My number two pick is Gentleman from Bernhard Roetzel. It is a German book and it was the first book I ever had that started it all for me. At the time it was written, it was the first and only book of its kind and probably because of that, it was really popular. 3. Bespoke Menswear Tailoring For Gentlemen t's likewise written by Bernhard Roetzel and it walks you through the entire process of choosing a fabric, cutting the pattern, having your fitting and getting your final garment. It also highlights a bunch of different tailors from across Europe so you get a better understanding of the different styles and what works for you. 4. Esquire Encyclopedia of 20th Century Men's Fashion That's quite a mouthful and even though it's so old, it's such a good book because it's very comprehensive and it's over 600 pages. Just look at the table of contents, it doesn't just talk about formal eveningwear but also formal day wear and there is a chapter on waistcoats, cummerbunds, and other clothing. It's a fantastic book that has lots of illustrations as well as a glossary and part of a dictionary that really help you to find things quickly if you don't know what certain terminology means. 5. Reclams Mode- und Kostümlexikon The focus of this encyclopedia is not just men but also women and fashion and fashion history, in general. I found it extremely valuable and if you speak German, it's a no-brainer, get this book! 6. The Elegant Man I put it on the list because it has a really comprehensive section about fabrics. You don't just learn about worsteds and flannels but also about things like the weaves and everything you need to know as a style enthusiast. 7. Alles Uber Herrenschuhe This monumental book title has everything about men's shoes, isn't perfect but it's definitely the most comprehensive attempt about anything there is to men's shoes. 8. History Of Men's Fashion Even though the author's French and he wrote it in French, there's also an English version of it. It has about 300 pages and talks about men's fashion history which is very interesting for someone like me. 9. Sharp Suits I met Eric once at his club in London and he has been into men's clothing for the most part of his life. He is very knowledgeable and he put together a book just about the suit, its history, the different silhouettes, the patterns, and since the suit is so central to classic elegance and style, I put it on my list. 10. Mercury Dictionary of Textile Terms It was published in the 1950s. So it's quite old but I love it because it's more than 500 pages of detailed information about anything related to cloth, fabric, textiles, yarns, they talk about the weaving patterns, the history, and anything else you wanted to know. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Want to stay updated? The basic idea for this age group is casual layering. Definitely, skip the baseball cap, it makes you look immature. Instead, if you want to wear a hat, maybe consider a flat cap in the fall winter season. As layering is very important in your age group, I suggest you go with sweaters because they keep you warm in the winter, they add a little book to your build which easily comes off as muscles, and they keep you warm If you are up for a cardigan, you can even take it off if it's too hot and that makes it very flexible, casual but well-dressed. MID 20S If you’re in a sales position or if you're in a white-collar profession, you will definitely need a lot more suits than one. If you're not, I suggest to invest more in combinations. Maybe of a blazer would be a great first garment to start and overall, I suggest you check out our guide on the 10 clothing items that every man should have because that's the foundation of your wardrobe that will last you a lifetime and you'll get a lot of wear out of it because it's very versatile and flexible. The mid-20s or mid or late thirties A great wardrobe staple is probably Oxford shirt, especially with a button-down collar. It's something that you can still wear either casually or combined with a jacket or suit. Polo shirts are nice if you maybe want to play golf or hang out with your children on the weekend but they're not something you should wear to the office, not even on casual Fridays. The mid-40s to about 65 Instead of using bolder colors to differentiate your outfit, I suggest to go with different textures and especially subtle patterns. You can go with window panes instead of solids, herringbones not just finer but bigger, maybe a classic Prince of Wales check that is larger in black and white that goes well with your gray hair. These are all things that can really help you develop an outfit that is very age appropriate yet very stylish. 65 and up If you're 65 and up, you're likely retired or you're looking forward to retirement. You either spend your days on a golf course or hang out with friends playing cards, working at the woodshop, and at that stage of your life, the degree of formality goes down. Now is the time to add sweaters back into your wardrobe, maybe skip the blazer unless you really like to dress up, however, one thing I notice a lot is that men change their physique yet the Wardrobe remains the same and it sometimes makes them look quite dated. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Most Popular videos: How to accept a compliment - https://youtu.be/_EKXNmM1PUo 101 things that change when you dress up - https://youtu.be/JyGDd_iYaCI How to tie a Bow Tie - https://youtu.be/2I3cfa0BOOc --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Want to stay updated? Flat Cap Guide - How To Pick A Newsboy Cap - Gentleman's Gazette

10:56
Learn to pull off the newspaper boy cap here: https://gentl.mn/flat-cap-guide SHOP THE VIDEO: 1. Madder Silk Tie in Dark Ruby Red Macclesfield Neats - https://gentl.mn/2hJzIEI 2. Dark Bronze Madder Silk Pocket Square with Diamond Motif and Paisley - https://gentl.mn/2xcdnBZ 3. Burgundy Red Suede Unlined Leather Mens Gloves - https://gentl.mn/2yTuryp 4. Brown Socks with Green and Cream Clocks - https://gentl.mn/2wuge9C So first of all, what is a flat cap or a newsboy cap? Obviously, I'm wearing one here right now and it's made out of a woven fabric. It's not knitted, there's no felt, like in typical menswear hats, overall, it has a very level and trim silhouette based on the one-piece construction, meaning, the top is made out of one piece of fabric and then you have seams on the side to get the distinct shape. Another characteristic is that the body off the top part of the hat is pulled over the brim. Generally, it's either sewn on or snapped on, that way, you get a triangular side profile that gives the hat its characteristic shape. Over the years, the flat cap has gotten many monikers so it's known as newsboy cap, cabbie, gatsby, IV, Jeff, duffer, duckbill, driving, you name it. If you want to learn all about the monikers, please check out the guide on our website here. So how do you wear a flat cap? First of all, if you get something made out of tweed just the way I'm wearing it here right now, you always will make sure you have a certain amount of contrast between the fabric on your hat and the rest of your outfit. Definitely, avoid flat caps that are very similar in color but not the same because that just looks off; it's like pairing a navy suit with a black pair of pants. Second of all, do shape the brim to your taste; that means you can actually move it like this and to curve it a little bit, you can tilt your hat and get the exact look you want. Don't wear your flat cap backwards because it just looks awkward. This is not a baseball hat, after all, it is more stylish brother. Four, don't worry a flat cap in the summer because it simply makes you overheat and sweat and it's unnecessary. Five, don't wear a flat cap unsnapped. Sometimes, you'll find flat caps that can be unflapped, however, that's a style that's usually associated with women in the 70s. So how should you buy a flat cap? First of all, it's important that it fits comfortably on your head. The flat cap was originally made from tweed by the wool fabrics or sometimes even cotton and that reason you should stick with those materials. In my opinion, tweed is really the best material because it has the depth of color, it keeps you warm, it's hard wearing, and it's just a wonderful fabric. To learn more about tweed, please check out our in-depth tweed guide, here. Sometimes, I've also seen denim caps or maybe leather caps or faux leather ones. I personally don't think it's a very advantageous look and I'd rather stick with the classic stuff. For that same reason, I stay away from patchwork flat hats or multi-pattern caps because they're simply too loud. Just like a bold red or really loud blue and green hat. The good thing about tweed is usually it comes in more subdued colors that suit the fall-winter season. At the same time, the color composition of the fabric is comprised of a range of different ones so it's very easy to combine it with other items in your wardrobe even though they don't match and contrast. So whenever you find flat caps that are either too bold or come in small, medium, and large, I suggest you skip them unless you know that they will fit you and that you'll like to wear them and they won't just be a fashion item that you have to throw away after a season. if you want to learn more about flat caps and what brands you might want to buy please check out our full guide on the website here. Last but not least, if you think a flat cap makes you look dated just browse the Internet and look for pictures of David Beckham or people like Brad Pitt which are obviously mainstream media celebrities and they can still pull it off and do so on a regular basis. #flatcap #newsboyhat #notsponsored -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Most Popular videos: How to accept a compliment - https://youtu.be/_EKXNmM1PUo 101 things that change when you dress up - https://youtu.be/JyGDd_iYaCI How to tie a Bow Tie - https://youtu.be/2I3cfa0BOOc --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Want to stay updated? Italian vs. American vs. English Men's Dress Shoes & What Distinguishes Them - Gentleman's Gazette

10:26
This video was made in collaboration with AceMarks, purveyor of Italian Men's Dress Shoes with a great bang for the buck. #dressshoes #acemarks #mensdressshoes Currently, they have a Kickstarter where you can get a pair of shoes for under $200: http://bit.ly/get-your-acemarks CHECK OUT OUR IN-DEPTH GUIDE TO SHOES, HERE: https://gentl.mn/what-makes-italian-shoes-different SHOP THE VIDEO: 1. Shadow Stripe Ribbed Socks Light Brown and Blue - https://gentl.mn/2FCAzSP 2. Brown Madder Silk Pocket Square - https://gentl.mn/2FEqbtW What makes Italian shoes different from English or American shoes? Hallmarks Of Italian Shoes Italy has a long-standing tradition in craftsmanship and specifically, in leather goods. Because of that, you can find lots of shoemakers still in Italy, as well as many shoe factories. Even in Europe, Italy has probably the highest density of bespoke shoemakers you can find. It's the same with tailors, shirt makers and other crafts especially related to menswear. One thing that always struck me about Italian bespoke shoes is that even a shoemaker in a small town has a very good eye for an elegant last. Not so in Italy; the construction you find in Italian bespoke shoes is usually a hand-sewn Goodyear welt. Sometimes you can also find the Norwegian welt which is called Norvegese in Italian and it's more visible, it is more time consuming and not many other shoemakers are so much in love with that welt as Italians are. Are Ace Marks The Best Italian Shoes Money Can Buy? Absolutely not, however, that's not their focus. They try to sell a shoe that is fairly priced with a very high-quality level and an extremely great value level at a lower price. So let's have a closer look at Italian made factory shoes such as Ace Marks. It's All About The Leather Italians are very good tanners and because of that, most Italian shoes are made of Italian leather. Unlike in other countries, you can find entire towns dedicated to leather tanning and it's just a joy to see that that craft is still so very much alive in Italy today. So when you look at quality Italian Shoes, they will likely have a hand burnished patina with either something darker areas and lighter areas which makes the shoe more lively, easier to combine, and it simply looks much better than a plain colored leather shoe. Shoe Construction Most quality Italian shoes are either Blake-stitched or Blake rapid stitched. Blake rapid is superior to just Blake and very similar to Goodyear in the sense that it's more complex but with Blake sometimes you also have the issue that the thread will transport water from the wet street directly to the inside of your shoe which can be quite uncomfortable. Shoe Quality In terms of costs, they're all very similar to each other including the machine-made Goodyear welt. In terms of quality, many would rate Goodyear welt on top of the bunch however, that's not necessarily true. A Goodyear welted shoe just has different characteristics than let's say a blake rapid shoe. Ultimately what matters more is the design of the last and how it works with your foot. When it comes to heel height Italian shoes have been all over the place. In the 70s, you saw really really tall heels but today, you can mostly find a moderate heel which is perfectly suitable for every kind of man. Overall I would say that Italian shoes are always a little more fashion-forward, they have lasts that are longer, maybe a little rounded, maybe a little more extreme, they're usually very stylish, and always put emphasis on elegance. What About English Factory Made Shoes? In my experience, they're generally a little stiffer which means the uppers are a little stiffer, the soles a little stiffer, and that's because they use the Goodyear welt method, machine welted almost exclusively in every factory I've ever seen. What About American Shoes Such As Allen Edmonds or Aldens? Just like English shoes, they're machine Goodyear welted and their lasts are generally a little more old-fashioned. Some people may call it clunky but overall, it's just a different type of last. Overall, I say American shoes are more similar to English shoes than Italian shoes but obviously, that's a generalization. You can always find exceptions to the rule. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Want to stay updated? Preppy Style & Prep Clothes - How To Get The Look

07:37
For an in depth guide with more pics and links click here http://gentl.mn/Preppy-Style-Primer For the accessories in this video, click below: Pocket square: https://gentl.mn/2kdlLzw Boutonniere: https://gentl.mn/2kf7eym Tie: https://gentl.mn/2kvDTRj First of all, what is preppy style or prep style? Well, as the name suggests, it was derived from prep schools in about 1910-1912. Boys from affluent households developed that style, entered prep school, and was characterized by school uniforms that were paired with certain accessories such as madras patterns and linen, bolder colors. It always had a nautical vibe to it. By the 1940's, it had gotten more mainstream and was adapted at Universities, and it became also known as "Ivy Style." Iconic brands that produce that clothing included J. Press, Brooks Brothers, and later also, Andover Shop. Other brands such as Ralph Lauren also picked up on the defining prep style elements and incorporated it into their wardrobe collections. ANCHOR BRACELET - A nautical anchor bracelet is something that many people assume is very preppy. Although historically, it's not something that men actually wore. ARGYLE SWEATER - It has basically diamonds with overplaid and contrasting colors. That kind of bold mix of colors is exactly what prep students would wear. In terms of colors, you can really choose any combination under the sun. BARBER WAX JACKET - has a nice patina, is aged in brown or olive green; it is also very preppy even though it's of English origin. CLOTH BELTS - They come either in Madras such as here, or in embroidered and woven belts that underline the casual character of a summer prep style. BOAT SHOE - Traditionally, they come in a dark brown with a white deck sole that is perfect for being on a boat. You can also find them in Nantucket red, green, yellow, or blue. CABLE KNIT SWEATER -Comes in white or ideally, off-white, probably beige and if you want to, you can also add styles like the neckline that's contrasting which you probably have seen in tennis sweaters. CHINOS - They come in a cotton twill fabric in khaki, beige, stone and navy. For summer, you can also go with baby blue, Nantucket red that's a mix between salmon, red, and pink or maybe even a light green. GTH PANTS - an embroidered chino called go to hell pants. They're so contrasting that makes suck a statement that you can't really overlook them. It's really a bold statement, but it's nevertheless very preppy. LOAFERS - Ideally, you should go for a penny loafer or a tassel loafer. L.L. BEAN BOOT - is a preppy statement, and it's just very characteristic of the region, definitely something you should invest in. In terms of colors, Nantucket reds are really popular either in shorts or chinos, not so much in jackets, but it's a unique blend of red, salmon and pink that is loud but nevertheless, classy and prep. NAVY BLAZER - Often combined with oxford cloth button down shirts. The OXFORD CLOTH BUTTON DOWN SHIRT - A soft button down collar, has a chest pocket and overall, barrel cuffs which work well with the overall casual, relaxed style of the preppy nature. POLO SHIRTS - Comes in all kinds of bold colors ranging from light blue to red, green and yellow. QUILTED JACKETS - They come in olive, or gray, or brown tone and it's very easy to carry along but insulates at the same time. RUGBY SHIRTS - Bolder stripes and even numbers and a contrast collar. SEERSUCKER - Another fabric that is favorited by the preppy simply because it's lightweight, summery and it's very American. BOWTIES - In either Madras or linens or bright and bold colors. TWEED SPORTCOATS - invest in earthy tones and muted patterns simply because it's a very classic look that is worn at Ivy League schools and it's just an integral part of prep style. #preppy #preppystyle #notsponsored _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Want to stay updated? 5 Dress Shoes Every Man Must Have - What Leather Men's Shoes To Buy - Which Ones To Purchase First

10:52
This video was brought to you in collaboration with AceMarks. You can find all the leather shoes shown in the video on their website: https://gentl.mn/five-dress-shoes-you-need #shoes #dressshoes #gentlemansgazette CODE: gentleman Make sure to use the code gentleman to get an even better deal! Interested in the shoes I'm wearing? Check out: https://www.acemarks.com/ First, by the way, all of the shoes you can see here are from Ace marks, a supplier of handcrafted Italian men's dress shoes and I liked them because they are hand burnished and they provide a really good value under $300. I've had their shoes in my closet from the beginning and I liked them quite a bit because they fit me extremely well. One, the black oxford. Why should you invest in this shoe? It's an all-time classic, especially as a captoe. You can wear it for business, you can wear it to the funeral, and you can wear it for any kind of formal event out there. Also, unlike brown, black comes just in one shade and so you don't have to invest in dozens of black shoes but one is really a staple that you must have. So how do you wear a black oxford? You can wear it with two-piece suits, three-piece suits, particularly in navy, charcoal, and grey, and any kind of other business appropriate suit. It's also good with blazers, maybe a navy blazer with gray flannel slacks or you can wear it with your tuxedo for Black Tie events, your dinner jacket, alternatively, also for white tie or for formal morning dress. The second shoe style I'd invest in if I started all over again is the Brown Derby full brogue wingtip. So why would I go with this shoe? Well, first of all, a Derby is less formal than an Oxford. The Derby has an open lacing system and because of that, it's more flexible so when your feet are tired and they swell and get bigger, it's a more comfortable shoe than an Oxford. Because of that, I like it for traveling. I would choose a medium brown color such as this antique brown cognac from Ace Marks; it's very versatile and because they are hand polished and hand burnished, you see different shades of brown at the tip of the shoe than for example at the bottom. The third shoe style I'd invest in is a loafer. Why a loafer?Well basically, it's a slip-on shoe, it's casual, it's an entirely different style from the other two, yet it's a timeless classic. It's really easy to dress up or down and they come in different variations; you can have tassel loafers and sometimes people think they're old-fashioned yet you can actually have them quite young looking and modern but if you don't like that, go with a penny loafer because they're really classic and they're called that way because you used to be able to put a little penny in the front opening. For versatility, I'd go with a different shade in brown than you chose for your Derby wingtip. The fourth shoe style I'd invest in is a double monk strap in a reddish color because it's very versatile, it's stylish, and it's young, and it's just different than all the other shoes that you already have in your wardrobe at this point. This model from Ace Marks comes in a brandy antique Brown which means it was hand polished and hand burnished to achieve different color tones. The fifth shoe style I would invest in is a half brogue Oxford in a medium brown. Here I have an Ace Mark shoe in a lighter antique tan which is once again different than all the other brown tones in my wardrobe. It has a captoe with nice broguing, a medallion, and it's less casual than the full wingtip Derby shoe. I'm adding it to the collection because it's kind of an in-between the more formal Oxford and the more casual Derby. It fits right in between because it doesn't have a wingtip but it has broguing, yet at the same time, it's an Oxford and not a Derby. So if you invest in these five shoe styles, you truly have an extremely versatile dress shoe closet and you can hold off on investments and maybe invest in other parts of your wardrobe. #dressshoes #mensshoes #acemarks --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SHOP THE VIDEO: 1. How to Wear a Vest or Men's Waistcoat When Layering The Stylish Way - Gentleman's Gazette

Want to stand out in odd vests? https://gentl.mn/vest-and-waistcoat-guide Also mentioned in the video is the CHARCOAL BROWN SUIT guide: https://gentl.mn/2ftrtby SHOP THE VIDEO: 1. Eagle Claw Cufflinks with Tiger's Eye Balls - https://gentl.mn/2fS3OSM What's an odd men's vest? It's basically a contrasting waistcoat or vest that is different than the jacket and or the pants. Let's start off with odd vest history. It has been around since the 1800s and it was always an elegant way to add color to your outfit and to stand out. Often, they had artistic buttons and intricate detailing. Let's say you have two jackets and one suit in your wardrobe; adding another jacket gives you another outfit instead, if you take the same money and invest in three odd vests, let's say in a red one, burgundy, maybe blue and green, all of a sudden you can create 27 outfits. So first, let's talk about lighter colored odd vests. They're really easy to combine with a darker suit or darker garments simply because they add this contrast. Ideally, you don't want the vest to be the same color as your shirt, otherwise, it all blends in. In terms of material, I like a white or off-white velvet or mole or doeskin, simply because it's warm in the winter, it adds an extra layer, and it looks magnificent with any kind of dark suits whether it's gray, blue, or brown. Alternatively, a buff waistcoat or a light gray waistcoat looks really dapper as well, it also is appropriate for business suits, as well as formal morning wear. The most important thing when wearing a vest is that you never combine it with a belt. Why? you might wonder. It adds a little layer underneath your vest and makes it gap between the pants and the vest and it looks cheap and odd, therefore, either go with side adjusters on your pants or with suspenders but never a belt. When you start, I suggest to go with solid colored vests for business suits such as gray, maybe buff, light blue, or something darker. Another interesting option that's rather bold for waistcoats is a tartan vest. It has its origins in Scotland and one of the most popular fabrics is probably the Black Watch tartan. Some people like to pair them during holidays maybe with a velvet jacket and I suggest to only combine bold waistcoats like that with solid jackets, otherwise, it's an overload of patterns and it's not flattering. Another popular waistcoat fabric from England is a so-called tattersall fabric. It has basically small cheques or mini window panes in two different colors, on a lighter background such as pastel yellow, buff, or sometimes even off-white. Most of the time, it comes in basic colors such as green, yellow, blue, or red, for the cheques and it's a staple that's very bold but because it's classic you can wear it without a problem. A fantastic addition to any man's wardrobe is a knit vest. it's warm, it's as comfortable as a sweater and maybe even more so because it doesn't have sleeves, and you can easily take it on or off, and it a very casual character. Another popular sweater vest pattern is the fair isle pattern. It was popularized by the prince of wales and it works so well because it uses lots of different colors to create that pattern that is so typical for that sweater or for the vest. Where should you buy your waistcoats? So the easiest route for you will be to go custom. I've also had good luck finding them at thrift stores because back in the day, people would wear waistcoats a lot more especially odd vests. At the end of the day, I think every man should have at least five waistcoats in his arsenal because the more of them you have, the easier it will be to combine different outfits that look unique. Business Casual Attire For Men & Dress Code Explained with Lookbook Outfits

11:11
Full Business Casual Guide, here: https://gentl.mn/2yWhx4p BUSINESS CASUAL SHOES: https://gentl.mn/2FhMPZ0 So how do we get from suit, dress shirt and tie to a very relaxed dress code with khakis and Polo shirts? Well, it all started with Aloha Fridays. This trend became quite popular in Hawaii and was eventually adopted on the mainland. Subsequently, people were familiar with it and wore it more often. So what does business casual mean in a nutshell? Basically, it means no suit but also no jeans. 1. White collar business casual - Bank, law firm, accounting firm The core piece in your wardrobe would be the dark navy blazer. Stick with just dark horn buttons. Stick with a single breasted and notched lapel look for a very normal appearance. You can also go with other kinds of sports coats that are patterned. When it comes to dress shirts, you should invest in some oxford shirts. They have a nice 2-tone appearance to them which makes them more casual and perfectly suited for business casual. When it comes to pants you can either wear chinos or khakis or dress pants in grey, light grey, mid-grey, not blue, especially if you have a navy blazer because it's too close but not the same. Basically, you want to have a certain amount of contrast. As far as accessories go, you can have a pocket square, you can go with a dressy watch or maybe with a naval strap to mix it up and make it more casual, depends on your specific office. When in doubt, always go a little more formal. For shoes and boots, you can basically wear anything in the color brown, reddish brown, or dark brown, maybe even tan. Since you're at the office, you should always bring a bag. A proper gentleman always carries a bag. It could be made of leather, of canvas, or a mix of the two but leave the backpack at home and only use it when you go hiking. 2. Service business casual or more relaxed office environments If you have client contact, chances are you are required to wear a jacket, sportscoat, blazer, at all times. If you're not, maybe you can get away with just wearing a dress shirt or a polo shirt. If you feel a sportcoat would be too formal, you can also try just to go with a vest because it's dressier than just a dress shirt but less formal than a jacket. For shirts, button down collars are good as well as long sleeved polo shirts. Neckties are entirely optional. At this level, denim or jeans are still not okay to wear, go with chinos or khakis. During the colder months of the year, sweaters of all kinds are great, you can either have them with a tie or without. Alternatively, have a cardigan or a sweater vest. Simply an ideal look for this environment because it's dressier than just having a shirt. As far as shoes go, I personally would suggest you go with classic shoes such as derbys, monk straps, loafers in brown because they work with everything and are just the perfect business look. Of course, the bag you should have can be a little more relaxed so it can be canvas, could be more weathered. Of course, a vintage leather patina bag is always appropriate and looks phenomenal. 3. Startup Business casual It's always to your advantage to put your best foot forward and that means, dressing up a bit more. Wear a polo shirt even if it's short sleeved. Rather than wearing shorts when it's warm consider maybe a pair of seersucker pants. Instead of crocs or flip-flops, switch over to boat shoes, you can also go with driving mocs and a sockless look. When it's cold outside, you can't just go to the office with just your blazer so ideal companions would be a trench coat in between seasons. When it gets much colder, you can get something like a peacoat which is shorter but it covers your jacket and it's very warm. If you want something lightweight that's more fun, you can think about something like a quilted jacket. #businesscasual #dresscode #notsponsored _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Most Popular videos: How to accept a compliment - https://youtu.be/_EKXNmM1PUo 101 things that change when you dress up - https://youtu.be/JyGDd_iYaCI How to tie a Bow Tie - https://youtu.be/2I3cfa0BOOc __________________________________________________________________ Want to stay updated? Fort Belvedere Knit Ties - https://gentl.mn/2CdPEVG For a larger gentleman: If you, for example, wear a little one, it makes you look even bigger. If you have a small hat like this one with a not so wide crown and a very short brim, it makes the person look automatically bigger; so that's something you should always avoid. On the other hand, a larger hat makes everything more proportional, more suitable, and the wearer doesn't look oversized. The same is true for the hat band, ideally, you go with something quite wide that has a very low contrast to the hat, ideally in the same color. If you're a bigger gentleman and you want to snap your brim down, that's okay but rather than having just a slight snap, try to snip it all the way down and get a really deep snap, that way it suits your silhouette more. The brim should be rather wide, at least two and a half inches which are about six and a quarter centimeters. Fedoras are a great hat for larger men and so are Homburg hats with a certain size. Short, slim, or the modest man: If you're shorter, you'll always benefit from wearing a hat because it elongates your body and makes you look taller. Rather than having a rather wide crown, it pays to have it pinched to a point because it just flatters your short silhouette more. Also, rather than going with a tone in tone hat band, it pays to switch it up for something that's contrasting. Tall and thin men: Ideally, you don’t want to accentuate your height even more which means don’t go for a high crown. Instead, go for medium to low crowns. Facial Features: Big Nose: Rather than having it curled up, you definitely want to snap it down. Rather than going for a very pointy pinch, go for something that's a little wider. Slim brims that are snapped up or just slightly snapped down are your enemy because they will just accentuate the size of your nose. Receding chin: Definitely make sure to avoid a big hat and a full crown because that will just highlight your receding chin, likewise, don't snap your hat too much because it's not an advantageous look for you. Chiseled features: you want a hat with a slight pinch on the crown that is not too small and you want a nice deep snap. It's definitely best to not tilt your hat but keep it straight so everything looks more proportional. In order not to highlight your chiseled features, I urge you to stay away from a very tall crown or a very slim brim. Round faces: If you're a man with a round face, avoid getting hats that are too small. You don't want something that has a really pointy crown, and you also don't want to have a very slim brim that is not snapped down all the way; just makes you look goofy and disproportionately large. Protruding ears: it's very important that you have a wider brim that is snapped down and not snapped up. The brim is important because it doesn't highlight the size of your ears or the shape, but it rather helps to cover them up. Opt for a wider crown that is not too pointy, although a little point is alright. Also, go with a wide hatband that's ideally somewhat contrasting because of your ears, it really pays to not just snap down the hat in the front but also in the back. If you have protruding ears, you definitely want to avoid small hats with shorter brims and anything that is pointed up. #hatsformen #menshats #notsponsored --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Want to stay updated? Big and Tall Clothing Tips & Men's Fashion Advice , Suits & Shirts for Short Chubby Guys

07:28
For more Big Guy Style Advice click here: http://gentl.mn/big-tall-style-tips #styletips #biggentlemen #notsponsored If you wish to check out the accessories I"m wearing, click here: Knit tie: https://gentl.mn/2ltWgdn Carnation Boutonniere: https://gentl.mn/2kSqFPn When you're a portly man, you really have to pay attention to your fit. The problem is, it's very hard for you to find a good suit that fits you. Now when you buy a suit off the rack, you have to bear in mind that what happens when they size it just gets gradually bigger and smaller all over. That means if you get a large suit that fits around your belly, it's also going to be longer and wider in the chest. While you can shorten sleeves, you cannot shorten the length of the jacket because otherwise, everything looks disproportionate and especially the buttoning point gets too low which makes it look like you have short legs and everything looks unfavorable. If you are big and tall, it's relatively easy because there are specialized stores that provide suits for you. If that's the case, you can go off the rack and go to your alterations tailor afterward. If you are not tall but have a bit of a belly, you should really invest in a made to measure program or ideally, bespoke because you'll get much better results. Here are a few key points to pay attention to when you buy a suit: 1. Single-breasted, not a double breasted because that makes you look wider. 2. Skip the belt. With Suspenders, the pants will look more flattering & it will be more comfortable. 3. Pleats because they give you a little more room which not only makes everything look more proportional but it's also more comfortable when you sit. 4. Go with a vest but you have to make sure that the rise of your trousers is high enough so the vest covers the waistband of the pants otherwise, it looks odd. 5. Shoulders. Ideally, you should feel where your shoulder bone is and that's where the shoulder should end or just slightly extend. Again, this is a problem off the rack, also the shoulders get wider then you look like a football player and it makes you look even bigger than you actually are. 6. Avoid having overly tight garments especially on your buttoning point, you don't want to see any X wrinkles because it's a clear indication that the garment is too tight. 7. In terms of lapel width, I suggest you skip the skinny lapel because it just doesn't go with your built. 8. As for ties, you should go for a classic, 9cm, 3 1/2 width because it works better with your physique. 9. Always skip the middle vent because it's more likely to gap on your seat and then looks unfavorable. Go with 2 side vents that give you more room, looks more dapper, and you'll be more comfortable. 10. In terms of colors and patterns, I suggest you start out with solids because you don't want to wear something that is too flashy. 11. For shirts, a classic white or light blue is a perfect place to start. Later on, maybe you add some pink but always make sure to keep it pale and never go with strong colors because it will harmonize well with your darker suits. Customized shirts or made to measure shirts are very affordable and you can find them online starting at 30 bucks. of course, at that price, you really have to make compromises about the fabric quality but since fit is the most important thing, you can start there if you can't afford more and then slowly work your way up. 12. Get a slim, classic collar. Why? because it gives you a slimming effect. On the other hand, a widespread, cutaway collar makes you look bigger than you actually are. Go for something more substantial, bigger that is not too spread. 13. When it comes to tie knots, you should go for something medium sized, maybe a four in hand, oriental with a thicker interlining, or maybe a half Windsor but stay clear of the double Windsor. 14. Shirt Cuffs should fit tightly against your wrist and that you show about a quarter to half an inch of cuff, makes you look very dapper and if you want, you can also go with cuff links. 15. When posing for pictures, stand slightly at an angle because it will have a slimming effect on you. 16. Up your look with accessories such as a nice pocket square, or maybe even a boutonniere. 17. You should invest in a proper pair of Goodyear welted Oxfords or Derbys. __________________________________________________________________ Want to stay updated? How Many Men's Dress Shirts Do You Really Need?

13:29
How many dress shirts should a gentleman really have? https://gentl.mn/how-many-dress-shirts-do-you-need You can shop the accessories in this video here: https://gentl.mn/2BwuXrM #dressshirts #mensshirts #notsponsored So as a general guideline, how many shirts should you invest in when you're starting out and you're interested in a classic wardrobe? I would say ten is the bare minimum. so first of all the basics, I think every man should invest in ten dress shirts if they have somewhat of a use for dress shirts on a regular basis and you can check out which first those are in this video here. If you wear shirts to the office 10 is actually the bare minimum. I suggest having more like a three or four-week rotation which means 15 or 20 dress shirts. Personally, I'm a big fan of pastel-colored shirts, light greens, or lavender, or yellow, but typically that's something you should add on top of the ten basics. If you don't have to wear a dress shirt to work and you don't like wearing dress shirts, I suggest you have at least three dress shirts that you can always rely on. One is a white dress shirt ideally with French cuffs for cufflinks without a chest pocket and it's something that you can wear for anything from a job interview to a funeral to a wedding or any kind of other formal events. If you don't have cufflinks or you don't want to invest money in them, go with a single barrel cuff which is also known as a button cuff. If you want to invest in cufflinks I would suggest you get one pair in gold and one pair in silver in a very traditional style without any diamonds or colored stones. Personally, I would choose a monkey fist knot cufflink because they're versatile, they're classic, and it's something you could wear with any kind of outfit. If you know that you attend black-tie events sometimes it also pays to invest in a tuxedo shirt. The second must-have dress shirt you need even if you hardly ever wear dress shirts is a check shirt. Ideally, you get it with a button-down collar because it's more casual and you don't need to wear it with any form of neckwear and for that, you definitely want to have barrel cuffs or button cuffs and you can also have a chest pocket if you want. The third shirt I think you should invest in is a denim shirt because it can really help to dress down other things, you don't have to iron it, it's something that is popular right now, and has been popular for the last few years. It's soft, it's hard wearing, and it's something that works well in the wardrobe.   On the other hand, if you're a collector, a classic menswear enthusiast or simply a clothes horse, the sky is really the limit. Obviously, that's me and you can have just 10 shirts that are all in white but they can have different cuff styles, different collar styles, different weaves, different front plackets, different buttons, and all those little details make the shirts different and suited for different occasions. Of course, at this point, storage can be a challenge and basically, you can fold them and put them in drawers but I find that it takes up a lot of drawers and so I hang all of my shirts on specific shirt hangers that are not too wide so they don't take up too much space in my wardrobe. Personally, I use the ones from Butler luxury which served me quite well and match my much wider suit hangers. So once you have all the basics covered, I suggest you go with pastel colors. Pastel pink, pastel lavender, green, you can have other shades that are combining those colors and just play with things. One color that's really underrated in men's dress shirts, in my opinion, is a subtle green. You can also add different kinds of patterns such as maybe a small houndstooth shirt or maybe a horizontal striped shirt or maybe stripes in an unusual color such as this one in kind of a light charcoal and yellow. Of course, you can also experiment with different fabrics and different weights as well as finishes and on top of that, playing with a collar shape is probably the detail that has the biggest impact because it defines the V shapes and the triangles that lead to your face. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Want to stay updated? Wear a suit and you'll automatically look fantastic. While this piece of advice does advocate for dressing up which of course we support, it's a little bit too simplistic in nature. Fit is the most important factor when wearing any outfit. 2. The more clothes you have in your closet the better and if it's on sale in a store buy it. Here's the thing about these two related pieces of advice. Ultimately, quantity does not equal quality. 3. If something is expensive it must be of high quality and you should only buy name-brand items. Just because something is very expensive or has a brand name associated with it doesn't necessarily mean that it's high quality. 4. An easy way to get started with dressing better is to follow some of the current trends that are going on. It's never a bad thing to want to upgrade your personal style unless you're just doing it for superficial reasons or to fish for compliments. If you go out and buy a bunch of items of clothing that are trendy at the moment chances are that they're probably going to be out of fashion in a year or maybe even less time. 5. Everything in your outfit should match and more specifically that you can't wear black and brown together. People often advocate for a monochromatic look because it's a relatively safe way of looking put together after all you won't have any wildly clashing colors if you're wearing all the same color. Similarly, people say that black and brown are two fundamentally different in terms of formality to be paired together. Both of these tips require a bit more nuance to be helpful. 6. Pieces of advice on fit. The bottom line with any advice in terms of fit is this, properly fitted garments are ones that are proportional to your individual frame and thus that flatter you well. 7. Some old chestnuts about what to wear, when. Like no wearing white after Labor Day, no wearing white before Memorial Day or no Brown in town. All of these supposed rules are entirely antiquated today. 8. If your trousers have belt loops you have to wear a belt. This tip comes from the fact that above all, most men's clothing really is rooted in purpose and utility. Belt loops are another similarly utilitarian feature. 9. You always have to match the leathers and the metals in your outfits. This guideline is designed to help men who are just starting out with the principles of classic style to assemble outfits that are more harmonious. And while it's never going to look bad if you match the metals or the leathers in your outfit you can also be tasteful about bending this rule. 10. You should always match your socks to either your pants or your shoes. While these two fundamental rules are true and sound, that doesn't mean that you always have to feel like your socks should match your pants directly. 11. Follow all of the advice of your favorite style youtubers or authors to the letter and you can't go wrong. Obviously, we here at the Gentleman's Gazette think that we're providing the best advice possible to all men who are looking to upgrade their style. And while we do hope that you'll follow the guidelines we put out. Keep in mind that they are just that guidelines. If you want to experiment to some extent to find your own personal style and expression, go ahead and do so! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Want to stay updated? Cocktail Attire for Men - Wedding, Party & Event Dress Code Guide

06:24
http://gentl.mn/best-cocktail-attire-men To get the accessories I'm wearing, visit links below: Field Scabious Boutonniere Buttonhole: https://gentl.mn/2kZZTof Madder Silk Tie in Purple with Paisley: https://gentl.mn/2kZRnW8 Pocket Square with Monogram Initial Classic White Irish Linen: https://gentl.mn/2kZWhm8 In today's video, we're going to talk about Cocktail attire for men. If you receive an invitation that asks for Cocktail attire, the proper thing to do is simply to adhere to it. But what does it really mean? Most of the time, this dress code is used for wedding invitations so let me go over what you should wear if the dress code is cocktail attire for a wedding. First is you want a dark gray to mid-grey suit. Preferably solid, you can also have a light pattern, a glen check or a shark skin but with solids, you're always right. If you must, Navy works as well. Two, you should have a white dress shirt, maybe off-white, you can also have maybe a white collar shirt with a striped body but it should be somewhat formal. Do not wear brown shirts or purple shirts or turquoise shirts, that just looks awful. Next up comes the neckwear, you should definitely wear a tie. Maybe a bowtie can get away with it but usually for the wedding, stick with the tie because you don't want to take attention away from the bride and groom. Ideally, what you can wear is a colored tie with a small pattern like the one I'm wearing right now in purple with some paisley or you can wear a solid necktie like the one here, you want some texture like a knit tie like this one is good or maybe you can also wear satin if it's an evening event but I would usually stay away from that and go with something a little more textured. Since this is a more festive event, you want to go with a pocket square. If you have a white shirt, a white pocket square works. If you have a different colored shirt, use a different kind of pocket square. For shoes, you should preferably go with black dress shoes, that means leather sole and neatly polished black cap toe Oxford is ideal. If you must, you can also get away with burgundy, try not to go with tan shoes or anything like that. No sneakers, no trainers, black men's dress shoes, please. What's really important is that you wear over the calf socks because you never want to expose your hairy calves to the public so make sure you get over the calf socks that ideally match your trousers and then you'll be just fine. If you want to add a dash of color, you could also use socks that are slightly contrasting, maybe taking up the color of your tie but that's a little more advanced so it's up to you. Make sure you have a good clean hair cut, trimmed at the back. If you have a beard, of course, you want to be well groomed and it's all suppose to look neat. Never wear a tuxedo when the invitation states cocktail attire because that's simply overdressed, it's wrong and it's not an option so if it says "black tie optional", you can wear a tuxedo but when it says "cocktail attire", stick with a suit. As a general rule, you should always keep in mind that more patterns, more colors make things stand out more so ideally, if you're not quite comfortable yet, just start with one accent piece, either you have a bolder color jacket or you have a strong red or yellow tie. Don't try to mix it all together, try to go one accent piece at a time and if you feel more comfortable, maybe you can add two but never overdo it. Chances are, you already have the core pieces like the jacket, suit, and the shirts in your wardrobe but if you want to create a unique look with that boutonniere, pocket square, and tie, check out our selection of Fort Belvedere things, everything you see here, is available in our shop and much more. ======================================= To never miss any of our videos again, sign up here for free: http://gentl.mn/1RKv7bi Want to see more videos? 10 Clothing Items Every Man Or Gentleman Should Have

09:35
For a more comprehensive guide on the 10 Must Have Menswear items, click here: https://gentl.mn/10-mens-clothing-must-haves #mensclothingmusthaves #notsponsored #wardrobeessentials You can check out the accessories I'm wearing here: Wool Challis Tie in Turquoise with Gray, Orange, Navy and Yellow Pattern: https://gentl.mn/2lyCEAG Orange, Green, Blue, Yellow, Silk Wool Medallion Pocket Square: https://gentl.mn/2ltB6vY 1. White dress shirt The fabric should be either made of plain poplin weave or a fine herringbone twill. Ideally, you want a medium spread collar because it can be worn with many things and it works with every face shape. You also want no chest pocket because it's a formal shirt and formal shirts don't have chest pockets. 2. Light blue dress shirt You want it to be made from a rugged fabric such as Oxford. You can also go with poplin, maybe a twill weave or anything else that stands the test of time. If you live in warmer regions, you can also get an open weave fabric, but overall, I suggest you stay clear of the chest pocket even though you could wear it because it's a less formal shirt. 3. Navy suit To start, I'd invest in a single breasted suit with notched lapels, not too skinny, not too wide, about 10cm or 4 inches for the lapel width. I would choose side vents and flap pockets. If you don't like the single-breasted style, you can also go for double-breasted with six buttons and two closing buttons. For pants, I would choose cuffed, and since I have bigger thighs, I would go pleated. Of course, that's up to you. 4. Classic navy blazer No, not the one from your suit. While you can wear that jacket as a separate with khakis, if you get a navy blazer, you should get something distinctly different. That being said, get a lighter shade of navy than your suit because it has to look different and a lighter color is usually more casual which is the origin if the blazer hence, you should go with that. 5. Gray flannel suit It's a classic wardrobe staple and men like Cary Grant wore it in North by Northwest; Gianni Agnelli made it world-famous with a specific shade from Vitale Barberis Canonico. It's not just so popular because some famous people wore it, it's very functional, versatile, and for example, you can take the pants and wear it with a navy blazer which is another very classic combination. 6. Tweed sportcoat I'm wearing one right now; it's a twill weave with a nice windowpane overcheck. There are lots of other options, for example, with a houndstooth, or a regular twill, or a shepherd's check or simply a Donegal tweed, no matter how old you are or what your style is, there's a tweed sports coat out there that suits you perfectly. 7. Gabardine trench coat It's a timeless classic that has a military history; it's a perfect raincoat. It can have a liner for colder months of the year, and in a double-breasted silhouette, it's simply elegant, and you can pair it with formal suits as well as casual combinations. 8. Chinos Chinos are cotton pants that come in a tone of khaki, sand, or stone, and they're more casual and very versatile. You can wear them with all kinds of jackets or just a shirt or a sweater and they're often office appropriate. 9. Vest or waistcoat Personally, I love vests; I have lots of them. If I'd have to pick just one vest, I'd go with a burgundy collar, maybe a flannel, or doe skin, because it's contrasting and you can pair it with anything else I discussed today and a lot more. 10. Sweater More specifically a bottle green wool sweater with a V-neck because I like to wear them all the time. If you don't, go with a crew neck that is round and it just looks better than a V-neck. It's perfect to layer over shirts, you can have it under jackets, you can wear it on its own, or with an overcoat, and just keeps you warm in the winter. How Pants Should Fit - Ultimate Guide To Mens Dress & Suit Trousers - Gentleman's Gazette

14:43
Do you want Pants, trousers, Chinos...That Fit Perfectly? Check out our more comprehensive pants guide here: https://gentl.mn/proper-fit-pants Also watch th SHOP THE VIDEO: 1. Wool Linen Tie in Textured Orange - https://gentl.mn/2uQ3koB 2. Burnt Orange Silk Pocket Square with Dotted Motifs and Paisley - https://gentl.mn/2urt4Fq Finding a perfect fit for pants is a huge challenge and although most people look at the jacket, it's a more difficult garment to fit, getting pants to fit properly is very very difficult as well and often neglected. To understand the proper fit of pants, we have to take a look of the components of trousers. First, you have to look at your waistband. Basically, it's a strip of fabric around your midsection and traditionally, in the 30s, 20s, those were cut really high because the natural waist is a good point to have trousers so they stay up and it creates a clean, long leg line that is flattering because it makes you look taller. Ten, fifteen years ago, a waistband was typically about 1/2 - 2 inches wide. Recently, it has become very popular to have very wide waistbands so sometimes you can see 3, 3 1/2, sometimes even 4 inches of waistbands with buttoning points. The next area is the front or the seat. So the seat is in the back, the front is in the front. it can be a tricky area if you have a bigger bum like I do. the next thing to pay attention to is the so-called rise. The rise is measured from the front of your waistband to the back of your waistband going through your crotch. Now, a pair of pants that has a high rise has a longer measurement and a low rise has a shorter measurement. One aspect of pants that depends on the current fashion is the fit. If you go back to the 20s, they had Oxford bags which are cut extremely wide, lots of volume, lots of fabric. And now the big question, how should pants fit? A classic pair of pants should never have any puckering, pulling, or wrinkling. A wrinkle that shows that something is too tight is usually in the shape of an X and so you can always tell "Oh, something is too tight here and needs to be let out." Of course, you can only do that if there's enough fabric to let the pants out. Back in the day, tailors would use heavier fabrics that draped really well and would create a clean, nice look. Today, most fabrics are very lightweight because most people assume that they are too hot. The second hallmark of well-fitting pants are the pleats. If you have a single center pleat, it should go down all the way to your shoe in one straight sharp creased single line and it should just slightly open up on top. Three, the line of the pants should be straight. there should be no breaks in the front or in the back except for the amount of break on top of your shoe in the front. N The fourth thing I look at in pants is the knee area because if the crease hangs straight center in the front and in the back, you know you have a well-cut pair of pants. If it's slightly off to the side, to the outside or to the inside, you know an alterations tailor will have to make adjustments. So how can you ensure you get pants that fit? Overall, you may think this is a lot of things for such a simple garment and yes, our standards are quite high and personally, I would say that I only have two pairs of pants that I think fit perfectly for me so high standards are a good thing because there is always something you aspire to but don't be afraid and here are a few final tips that help you in getting pants that will fit well. Do not buy goal pants because chances are, you won't get it in the shape you want at a point in time so the pants will never fit and stay in your closet. Do not be afraid of pleats. Most men today think that pleats are outdated but in fact, you should just look at your body and if you have bigger thighs, a bigger seat, pleats are always more advantageous for you. In the same vein, don't be afraid of cuffs or turn ups because they provide extra weight at the bottom of your pants. #pants #trousers #dresspants -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Most Popular videos: How to accept a compliment - https://youtu.be/_EKXNmM1PUo 101 things that change when you dress up - https://youtu.be/JyGDd_iYaCI How to tie a Bow Tie - https://youtu.be/2I3cfa0BOOc --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Want to stay updated? How fast fashion adds to the world's clothing waste problem (Marketplace)

Fast fashion is a major contributor to the world's clothing waste problem.
