Text-align CSS property decides whether text should appear in an HTML element. You can choose to align it to the left, right, center, or justify. This is a pretty basic property in Cascading Style Sheets, but very important. http://www.technoblogical.com/web-design/ Providing training since last Tuesday http://www.technoblogical.com Thanks for watching!

In this section, we’re looking again at formatting a worksheet in our course on Excel 2013. In the previous section, we looked at things like inserting and deleting columns and rows. In this one, we’re going to look at a little bit more detail on formatting a worksheet. Now I’ve gone back to the table of expenses that we looked at earlier on. I’ve inserted another column here. The other column I’ve got here is one that denotes the name of the particular customer that a particular expense was associated with. Where there isn’t a customer name then I’ve just put it under the heading of prospects. This is for potential customers. And one of the entries here I’ve left blank and I’ll talk about that in a moment or two. So having entered this other Column what I’m now going to do is to set about formatting it in a better way, make it look a little bit more attractive. And we’re going to use both the work we’ve done already on formatting columns and rows but also we’re going to introduce theme and style considerations as well. So let’s get started. Now one of the first things that I’m going to deal with here is what happens in a situation like this one where I’ve added another row but the description of the expense is now even longer than any of the ones that we’ve had before. And potentially dealing with a description as long as the long that I’ve typed in there is going to mean that in order to extend the width of Column D enough to accommodate that, first of all the width of the overall expenses claim is going to get wider and wider and secondly there’s a lot of wasted space here with the others. So the first thing I want to show you is that when you’re dealing with text fields, you can actually use more than one line for a description in this case and you can do that by wrapping text. Now if I select Column D, right click, and go into Format Cells, then one of the options there on the Alignment tab is Wrap Text. So let’s check Wrap Text, click on OK, and see what happens. Now at the moment there’s no need for the text to wrap because it’s got plenty of width. But supposing I reduced the Column D width down again, watch what happens as I reduce it. Now when I get to that point you can see that in two of the entries the text has wrapped. The other things you can probably notice, first of all, in Row 7 I’ve lost part of the text and in all of them the text is aligned with the bottom of the cell. So for instance here, the date in Row 8 is at the bottom of Row 8. Now you may not particularly want it at the bottom or you may. But I need to show you how to set that as well. And this in fact leads us to a very important aspect of formatting in a worksheet in general. When you’re formatting in a worksheet, what you’re formatting applies to is what you have selected at that time. When I set Wrap Text just now, I had Column D selected, the whole of Column D. And remember there are potentially thousands of rows in Column D. Every row in Column D has the same setting for text wrapping and that is text will wrap. If I had chosen say one cell in Column D, let’s say if I’d chosen that one I’d right clicked on that, gone into Format Cells, and for that one I had checked off Wrap Text. So I unchecked it, click on OK, and for that one cell alone text is not wrapped. Now clearly that’s not a very good solution in this case because that’s the worse cell of all and the one that needs wrapping the most. Sorry, we couldn't fit the entire video transcription here since YouTube only allows 5000 characters.

How to Justify Margins in Word 2010

02:22
How to Justify Margins in Word 2010 When formatting text in a word-processing program, correctly aligning paragraphs with the margins, commonly known as margin justification, can be difficult when you don't know how. This video will show you how. Knowing how to justify margins correctly is important, especially in college classes. Professors are likely to lay out in their assignments how they want student papers formatted. Some teachers require left justification, some require center or full justification; and there may be times when you must right justify your margins. Same is true for businesses. Each company will likely have its own style preferences. Knowing how to navigate through your word processing program will help you adapt to any style. It’s really not that hard once you practice it a bit. You may want to note that, while full justification has a nice professional look (book paragraphs are fully justified), the varied spacing between words can be straining on the readers’ eyes. For that reason, it’s a good idea to use left justification as your default setting. In left justification, all spacing between all words is the same. Basically, in Word, start from the Home tab. In the Paragraph section of the ribbon menu, you’ll see four small icons that look like, in order from left to right, left justified, center justified, right justified, and fully justified. Put the cursor in any paragraph, then click on one of the four icons to sets its justification. Again, it’s not that difficult, and the video will show you how. Bootstrap Grid System

10:38
bootstrap 3 grid example bootstrap 3 grid system bootstrap 3 columns layout bootstrap grid system example bootstrap 3 page layout bootstrap page layout examples bootstrap 3 layout examples bootstrap page layout tutorial bootstrap grid layout tutorial bootstrap column layout how to use bootstrap 3 grid system In this video we will discuss, How to create page layouts using bootstrap grid system. One of the very important concept that we need to understand in Bootstrap is it's Grid System. The Grid system is used for creating page layouts through a series of rows and columns. The Grid System consists of 12 columns. This grid system is so flexible that you can create any page layout that you want. Let us now see how to create a 3 column layout using the Bootstrap Grid System. The page should be divided into 3 columns with 1:4:1 ratio. One important thing to keep in mind here is that, if we add the 3 numbers in the ratio (1:4:1), the sum should be equal to 12, because the bootstrap grid system consists of 12 columns. This means if the LEFT SIDE BAR column is 2 units, the MAIN CONTENT AREA column should be 8 units and the RIGHT SIDE BAR column should be 2 units. So when we add these 3 numbers (2 Units + 8 Units + 2 Units), we get 12 units. Bootstrap includes several grid classes for creating layouts for different devices like mobile phones, tablets, laptops, desktops, etc. The table below shows the available bootstrap grid classes that you can use to create grid column layouts ranging from extra small devices like mobile phones to large devices like large desktop screens. We will discuss these different classes in detail with examples in a later video. For now let's use .col-md-* class to create a 3 column layout. There are 3 simple steps to create the 3 column layout that we want, using the bootstrap 12 column grid system 1. First, create a container. We do this by creating a [div] element using the bootstrap .container class. All the rows will be within this container. 2. Second, create a row within the container. We do this by creating a [div] element using the bootstrap .row class. 3. Finally within the row we create the 3 columns that we need. We do this by creating [div] elements using any of the bootstrap grid classes (.col-xs-*, .col-sm-*, .col-md-* & .col-lg-*). In this example we are using col-xs-* class. Please note that here I am also using a custom class (.customDiv) to apply some custom styles to each of the div elements. [div class="container"] [div class="row"] [div class="col-md-2"] [div class="customDiv"]LEFT SIDE BAR[/div] [/div] [div class="col-md-8"] [div class="customDiv"]MAIN CONTENT AREA[/div] [/div] [div class="col-md-2"] [div class="customDiv"]RIGHT SIDE BAR[/div] [/div] [/div] [/div] Here is the definition of the custom css class (.customDiv) .customDiv{ margin:3px; min-height:300px; background-color:silver; text-align:center; font-size:large } I have created this class in a stylesheet that I named CustomStyles.css. I have placed this in the root folder of the project. Some important points to keep in mind when working with the bootstrap grid system to create page layouts 1. Rows must be placed within a container for proper alignment and padding. 2. Use rows to create horizontal groups of columns. 3. Content should be placed within columns, and only columns may be immediate children of rows. 4. If more than 12 columns are placed within a single row, each group of extra columns will, as one unit, wrap onto a new line. 5. Grid columns are created by specifying the number of twelve available columns you wish to span. For example, to create four equal columns we would use four .col-xs-3. Change WordPress Font-Size Using Theme Options or CSS | WP Learning Lab

07:18
Grab Your Free 17-Point WordPress Pre-Launch PDF Checklist: http://vid.io/xqRL Download your exclusive 10-Point WP Hardening Checklist: http://bit.ly/10point-wordpress-hardening-checklist Change WordPress Font-Size Using Theme Options or CSS | WP Learning Lab Changing WordPress Font-size is done in the theme options panel or with CSS. Once you know where to make the changes in your theme it is easy to do. As with a lot of things in Wordpress, where you do things depends on the theme you're using and the plugins you're running. First, always check to see if your theme has theme options. If it does then you should be able to find a typography tab to edit font sizes. Sometimes font sizes will be found in the general settings of the theme options. The theme options will be found either under the Appearance menu in the left hand side admin menu or there will be special menu item that the them itself added. If your theme doesn't have theme options, then you're next stop should be the customizer. Some themes have a lot of WordPress Customizer support. Go to Appearance then Customizer to see if you can edit font sizes there. If both of those are a no-go then you're left with going to directly to the stylesheet to change font sizes. This is method is great if you have some CSS knowledge. To find your stylesheet go to Appearance then Editor. The stylesheet will be the first thing to appear in the editor. If, for some reason, it's not there, then find the style.css file in the list of theme files on the right and click it to open it in the editor. NOTE: You should be edit stylesheet of a child theme only. If you edit the parent theme stylesheet directly then your edits could be overwritten when you update the them. Here's a tutorial on how to create a child theme if you need it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z8n1h-85SMQ Now that you have the CSS stylesheet open in the editor you will need to find the font styles. The easiest way to do this is go to your main site and find the fonts that you want to edit. If you're using Google Chrome or Firefox right click on the text and choose the "inspector" or "inspect" from the context menu. If you're not using Google Chrome or Firefox then start using them. In the inspector that opens at the bottom of the page you should see the text highlighted in the main area and the class of the element on the right. You can type styles right into the element on the right hand side to quickly test to see how big you want the font to be. This doesn't save it permanently. What you see is only in your browser and as soon as you refresh the page you'll lose it. So, find the class for the text, find the right size and move that CSS rule in to the stylesheet for the child theme. Sometimes you'll have to fight with the existing CSS to make your font changes take effect. That's where a command link !important comes in very handy. If you type .h2 {font-size:10px !important;}. Having !important forces that style to take precedent over all others. It's a lazy way to code CSS, but unless you have time to find the conflicting styles, it's a fast and easy trick. I hope this information helps you! This tutorial will walk you through the image alignment function of HTML through which you can adjust the image and place it according to your requirements Don't forget to check out our site http://howtech.tv/ for more free how-to videos! http://youtube.com/ithowtovids - our feed http://www.facebook.com/howtechtv - join us on facebook https://plus.google.com/103440382717658277879 - our group in Google+ Images are the most important source to create interactive and vibrant web sites. While inserting images into a HTML source code, you need to be very careful with its alignment and spacing on the page. A well placed image adds a great value to a web page while a poorly aligned image can ruin it all. The concept of Image alignment has now devalued in HTML 4 and its onward versions. Web designers are now using CSS for placing images on a web page. A CSS uses a "Float" function to align images in html according to your requirements. Here, we will teach you how to align image in html page using CSS. Step # 1 -- Insert an Image Tag In this tutorial, we will guide you on how to align image in html. First of all, open up the source code of your HTML page in a text editor. Now enter the following code: img src = "graph.jpg" / Here, the "Img" shows the Image tag while the "SRC" denotes the source of the image followed by the Image location. Once done, save your settings and refresh the HTML page in your browser to load the recently added Image. Step # 2 -- Align the Image to the Left In the next step, insert the following code within the image tag: Style = "float: left" This will align the Image to the Left corner of the HTML page and align the Text to the right corner. Step # 3 -- Align the Image to the Right In the next step, try to align the image to the right corner of the page. For this purpose, change the Alignment code to "Right" by replacing the "Left". Save your changes and refresh your browser. You will notice that the image has now been aligned to the right corner of the page. Step # 4 -- Using Different alignments of Image By using this simple technique, you can align images in the HTML page.

CSS Basics: 8. Relative Sizes (EM and REM)

05:15
We covered absolute units like pixel values, and we covered relative units like percentage. Now let’s talk about another super important relative unit. EM. This is mostly used to size text. Sizing your fonts is absolutely crucial in having a good looking page. It’s one of the most important aspects of UI design. Typography. I mentioned default browser styles a couple of videos ago. Let’s look at H1 in Chrome. H1 has this weird font-size value of 2em. That line is the reason why H1 so big without you writing any CSS. But what is that? EM? EM is another relative unit of measurement, similar to percentage. EM always has a number in front of it. 2em, 3em, .5em. Font-size: 2em means, hey what is my expected font-size if I didn’t have any other CSS? I want my size to be 2 times that. Twice as big. So what is my expected Font-size? Font size is usually inherited from the parent, so say I have a font-size: 12px on the body tag. And I have a direct H1 child inside it with font size: 2em. That will make the H1 size automatically 24px, double its parent. Because it’s 2EM. So it’s almost like the H1 is listening directly to its parent. 3em, 3 times that or 1em, the same size as my parent. You can even do decimal points like .5, half, 50%, .2, 20%. This is useful because you can set font-size of the body to be whatever, and all its children that have their sizing in em will listen to that and resize immediately. This way you don’t have to specify how many pixels for every single child. You define it once on the body, and everybody will resize themselves. Except there’s one problem. EM inherits from the direct parent, not from the body. So in our example we’re lucky the H1 is directly on the body but... if you have children inside children, they’re going to affect each other’s size. Say you have a P tag with A tags inside it. Say body font size is 20px. If my P tag is 2em, that makes it 40px, and my A tag is 3em, that makes the A 3 times as big as the P, so 40x3, 120px. This can get really confusing really fast. I don’t like it. I know a bunch of you are gonna get mad at me cuz you disagree with me, and that’s ok. You can start your own ColorCode on youTube and call it ColorChode and make your own videos and disagree. Anyway, back to EM. In real world applications you have several layers of elements inside one another, so it becomes really difficult trying to find out how big something is if you use relative values and have to keep going up the chain of parents and calculate. What is .7em of 2em of .5em of 14 pixels? That’s cray cray. Lucky for us, there is a solution. And it’s a solution that I personally like a lot, it’s not perfect but it covers 99% of what I want. And that is REM. Root EM, whatever EM stands for. I probably should have googled that. HAHA Actually I did, And I didn’t find a satisfactory answer. Anyway, REM is the exact same thing as EM except it’s not relative to the inherited font size from the parent, it’s relative to the root element, your beloved HTML tag. Remember that guy? This means you can give your HTML element a size. Say 14px. And any element inside your page, anywhere, regardless of who their parent is, given an REM font size, will then resize relative to 14px. This is in my opinion the cleanest way to specify font size, have it be easy to read, and still flexible like EM. So,... I think it’s time for a demo. I just gave you aloooot of information. Let’s go back to our profile page and clean up them sizes using both absolute and relative units. I’ll see you there.

Difference Between Inline and Block Elements CSS

05:52
Block vs inline explained. Why not both? When to use it, how to transform one in another and much more in this tutorial. Follow the wisdom of Tech Tzu: https://twitter.com/Tech_Tzu https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100013382105892&fref=ts Project Resources: http://www.mediafire.com/download/ydkkkcar8z6685c/Inline_vs_Block_elements_-_by_Tech_Tzu.zip Tools: Brackets, FREE code editor http://brackets.io/ Emmet, super speed coding addon http://emmet.io/ Beautify, turning your ugly code into beautiful script https://github.com/brackets-beautify/brackets-beautify Transcription: Okay let's understand what is the difference between inline and block elements, it's very important to understand the difference so we can easily manipulate your HTML file and CSS files. And your website layout in general. Okay. Inline elements are basically elements that flow, that flows one after each other, for example, add one p tag and add some text inside, as you can see we can add our span, which is an in-line element and says this is span and you can see that our text is inside the text it this text wrap its around, so nothing special, you just add some in-line elements. For example, let's add the big is this is an inline element and say this is big text, and that's it. Inline elements are elements that are inside the text and the text flows around them. Okay, let's move to block elements. Block elements are, for example, our div is a block element and I will explain on this example. Let's add to our div some styling, some styling, I prepare some styles over here in the comment just cut it inside add some width to be 100 pixels, and the height also, and background color to be white. Just to add hex code... and now we can see our div element. For example, if you add, we can add in the span elements, we can add another span element, for example, this is a big text big, we just copy and paste it and it will be in a line, but if we add another div elements, just copy this one here, it will go in another line. Just add some margin so we can better see margin to be up 20 pixels. Okay, so we can see our, our div element so let's add another div element. okay, there's another div element. As you can see the block elements are one below another and our in-line elements are next to each other. But, we have tricks, we can just mash up some these things, and just let's say that are div elements, which are naturally block elements, let's say display, display inline, so they act like inline elements. And what happened? As you can see something is wrong. And that's because inline elements don't support height and width of the elements. Just check this out: if we add to our big, just say it's add to our big element, let's add height for example 100 pixels nothing happens. Width also 100 pixels nothing happens. Because inline elements don't support width and height, but block elements do, so we just need to display these like inline-block. As you can see now our elements are acting just like in-line elements, just like this one, and that but there block elements. What will happen if we add to our in-line elements display to be displayed like a block? They will just fall down ok? I will just add background color so we can see better. And as you can see we changed to block height in the width now have a purpose and we had these white background block but if we add inline-block they will flow next to each other the flow next to each other. So the main difference between the div and in-line between the block and in-line elements is that in-line in line with text and block acts as a block and just add display in-line block or display block to change behavior of that element. So everything can be in-line and everything can be a block element by just by adding these rule display. And this is it, thank you for watching and bye-bye.

CSS - Upgrading HTML Tags with Style: Creating a Website Made Easy

20:00
Lesson on Upgrading HTML Tags to CSS Style from Udemy online course: Creating a Website Made Easy Full course description and 25% discount coupon: http://tharsishighlands.com/online-courses/creating-a-website-made-easy/ Transcript: In this lesson, we will take many of the basic HTML tags and use them as CSS element selectors to upgrade their style. In CSS, the HTML tags are called "elements." BODY First, we start with the [body] tag element (YouTube does not allow angle brackets in description). When you first set up your main CSS file, you typically want to establish the basics for your entire page. These can include, • background-color • background-image • default font-size, color and font-family All of these can be handled in the body element. For example, body { background-color: linen; background-image: url("pix/tree.jpg"); font-family: Vera, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 15px; color: #24425C; } SELECTORS We've already seen a little about CSS syntax. For example, h1 { color: blue; } Each CSS style starts with a selector and is followed by one or more declarations within open and close braces — each declaration being a property-value pair: { property: value } Element selectors select all HTML tags of the same name. For instance, for the [p] tag, p { text-align: center; color: red; } [p]All paragraphs with only the p tag are centered and red. This is a demonstration of how the element selector works.[/p] The ID selector uses the ID attribute of an HTML element to select that specific element. ID is a unique identifier. On any one page, there can be only one of that ID. Also, the ID name cannot start with a numeral. For example, #first_heading { color: red; } [h1 id="first_heading"]This is the First Heading on the Page[/h1] The class selector selects all elements with a specific class attribute. .quote { border-style: solid; border-width: 1px; border-color: #880000; padding: 5px; font-size: 18px; font-style: italic; } Here, we see a class called "quote" which uses larger type, italics and a dark red border. Next, is the HTML which uses that class. [p class="quote"]"There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy."[/p] A class can be restricted to only one element type. For example, p.first { text-indent: 0px; } This can be helpful if all other paragraphs are given an indent. The first paragraph after a heading can be made flush left. We can also use more than one class at a time. For example, [p class="first quote"]"Houston, we have a problem..."[/p] We've already seen how selectors which share property values can be grouped. h1, h2, h3 { color: steelblue; } In the earlier lesson on the Head section, we learned how to link to an external style sheet — a file with sets of selectors and declarations. For internal CSS, you have the same selector-declaration combinations, but set within open and close [style] tags. [head] [style] body { background-color: darkslateblue; } [/style] [/head] And for inline CSS, you have the same selector-declaration combinations within a style attribute. [p style="text-indent: 50px; color: steelblue;"]This is important text.[/p] Multiple Styles Cascade into One CSS statements have a sequence of priority. The lowest priority of style is the browser defaults. Next are the external and internal style sheets in the head section. Sequence matters, so if you link to your external style sheet after the internal style declarations, the external CSS takes priority over the internal. Finally, the inline style declarations take the highest priority. For all style information that uses the same selectors, the highest priority replaces the lower priorities. For example, External: p { color: blue; text-indent: 30px; } Internal: p { color: green; } Inline: p { color: red; } The final style is: p { color: red; text-indent: 30px; } Background: The following properties control the background of HTML elements. • background-color • background-image • background-repeat • background-attachment • background-position Example: body { background-color: blue; } As we've already learned, colors can be specified, • As Hex — like "#00ffff" • As RGB — like "rgb(0,255,255)" • By name — like "aqua" We will learn more about colors and the new CSS3 color specification in a later lesson. Background Image: The default behavior of a background image is to repeat the image both vertically and horizontally in order to fill the entire background of the element with the selected picture. body { background-image: url("pix/sandbaked.gif"); } [...] In the next lesson, we talk about fonts, tables and links. How to Use Qards and Contact Form 7 (v.1.0)

01:50
A short tutorial about how to integrate Contact Form 7 WordPress plugin with Qards using shortcodes. Qards - http://designmodo.com/qards/ “Contact Form 7” is popular plugin that allows you to create contact forms on your WordPress website. In this video, we’ll show you how easily use the “Contact Form 7” and Qards. It’s important to know that Qards are ready for shortcodes and you can use shortcodes directly in your HTML block. So, we have installed Contact Form 7 and Qards. Go to Contact, from left menu and copy the shortcode of our contact form. After this, go to Qards, open the Visual Editor with our previously made design and integrate the contact form in the design. You can also use this contact form in the special page only for contact details of your website. In this example, we will insert contact form in this place, choose a block to drag and drop to our design, change the text of this section and click save. Now we’ll copy and paste the shortcode to HTML of this block. Click the settings icon and choose Edit HTML/CSS. We’ll remove this part of code with block description, and insert the contact form shortcode. Remember that you can’t use the Visual Editor for this block after you save HTML changes. In our example we save changes, and let’s see the result. Here is the shortcode of our contact form, click save and we can see how it looks on the live website. Now you have a contact form, but in the default style without any design. Let’s customize this form using Global CSS. Go to the admin dashboard, appearance and qards settings. Here we have Global CSS that rewrites CSS of our website and you can style your design. We have prepared style code for this contact form, copy the code from editor to the Global CSS editor. Click save changes and let’s see the final result. Refresh the previous page and here it is. Now you have a nicely-styled contact form using Contact Form 7 and Qards. Code used: .wpcf7-form { background:#fff; border-radius:2px; max-width: 500px; padding: 10px 20px; margin:0 auto 10px; text-align:center; } .wpcf7-form input, .wpcf7-form textarea { background:#fff; border:1px solid #f7de7f; border-radius:2px; width:100%; margin: 4px 0 8px 0; padding: 14px 18px; color: #4f4f4f; font-size: 16px; vertical-align: middle; border-radius: 25px; text-align:center; outline:none; } .wpcf7-form p { color: #919191; margin-top:10px; margin-bottom:10px; } .wpcf7-form .wpcf7-submit { background:#f7de7f; cursor:pointer; color:#6C6C6C; font-size:18px; } .wpcf7-form input:hover[type="submit"] { background:#f7de7f; cursor:pointer; color:#6C6C6C; }

Will contain all the white space. Will contain all the line breaks in the HTML. pre-line: wraps text. Strips out extra blank spaces. Learn HTML Lesson 6

23:45
HTML Attributes Now as we have discussed some important html tags, though these are only the basic tags. There are a lot more which we will learn and discuss in the upcoming lessons. As we will go through our lessons, I will introduce you to more new tags. Today I want to discuss the Attributes. Attributes are used to specify extra information about the tags we use. Just see the below tags. Paragraph Attributes In the above two line of codes, in the first one, simple paragraph tags are used. While in the 2nd one paragraph tag is used with align attribute. The align attribute more specify the text that it should be in the centre of the page. The same way with align attribute, we can use left, right or centre can be used to align the text on the webpage. Let see another example. We have discussed the body tag. Body Attributes we have used the bgcolor attribute to change the background colour of the page from white to yellow. Below will be the result. Anchor Tag There are some tags, which will not work without attributes. For example, the Anchor tag, which used to link pages or add links to webpage. But anchor tag always required a “href” attribute where we add the details which has to be followed after the Anchor tag start functioning. In the above video you will see all the details.. We have discussed the attributes briefly in this lecture. Attributes are a very important topic in HTML language, and it will be used again in again in our web development. So open your notepad, try to revise what we have discuss today. Post your comments if you have any questions. We will sure help you out. HTML Tutorial in hindi PART 07 background color and align tag in html

07:33
In this lesson I show background color, and common tags for html. Things like headers, ruled lines, bold, italics, underlined, typer writter and centered text, also paragraphs, and skipping lines. This tutorial will walk you through the image alignment function of HTML through which you can adjust the image and place it according to your requirements Images are the most important source to create interactive and vibrant web sites. Step # 2 -- Align the Image to the Left In the next step, insert the following code within the image tag: Style = "float: left" This will align the Image and text to the Left corner of the HTML page and align the Text to the right corner. Step # 3 -- Align the Image and text to the Right In the next step, try to align the image to the right corner of the page. For this purpose, change the Alignment code to "Right" by replacing the "Left". Save your changes and refresh your browser. You will notice that the image has now been aligned to the right corner of the page. Step # 4 -- Using Different alignments of Image and text By using this simple technique, you can align images in the HTML page. -~-~~-~~~-~~-~- Please watch: "top navigation bar ||css menu ||top navigation ||website navigation bar design ||html navigation" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pU0GaTFVHWM -~-~~-~~~-~~-~-

Indentation can be used to visually set paragraphs apart from one another or to create multilevel lists, while line spacing can be adjusted to improve readability or to fit more lines on the slide. In this lesson, you will learn how to indent text and modify the line spacing. (0:10 - 1:15) To indent using the Tab key: A quick way to indent is to use the Tab key. In a normal paragraph, this will create a first-line indent, but if the paragraph is part of a bulleted or numbered list, the entire paragraph will be indented. Place the insertion point at the very beginning of the paragraph you want to indent. Press the Tab key. The paragraph will now be indented. (1:18 - 2:01) To use the Indent commands: If you want to indent all of the lines in a paragraph, you can use the Indent commands on the Home tab. For lists, the Indent commands work the same way as the Tab key. Select the text you want to indent. On the Home tab, click the Increase Indent command to increase the indent or the Decrease Indent command to decrease the indent. The selected text will update to reflect the new indent. (2:02 - 3:02) Fine-tuning indents Sometimes you may want to fine tune the indents and tabs in your presentations. You can do this by adjusting the indent markers and tab stops on the ruler. By default, the ruler is hidden, so you'll first need to show the ruler. To show the ruler: Select the View tab. Click the Ruler check box in the Show/Hide group if it is not selected. The ruler will appear. (3:03 - 7:30) Customizing bullet spacing When working with lists, PowerPoint allows you to adjust the space between a bullet and the text by using the first-line indent marker or the hanging indent marker. The ability to increase and decrease the indentation allows you to customize lists to meet your needs. To change bullet spacing: Select the lines you want to change. On the ruler, drag the first-line indent marker to the right or left. The bullet will move independently from the text. Alternatively, you can drag the hanging indent marker to move the text without moving the bullet. (7:31 - 9:28) Line spacing PowerPoint allows you to adjust the amount of space between each line in a paragraph. You can reduce the line spacing to fit more lines on a slide, or you can increase it to improve readability. PowerPoint may automatically change the font size when you adjust the line spacing, so increasing the line spacing too much may cause the text to be too small. To format line spacing: Select the text you want to format. Click the Line Spacing command in the Paragraph group on the Home tab. Select the desired spacing option from the drop-down menu. Learn Adobe Photoshop - Paragraph Panel

05:26
Check out Bas Rutten's Liver Shot on MMA Surge: http://bit.ly/MMASurgeEp1 In this video, Mahalo expert Gene Shaw explains how the Paragraph panel can be used to create uniformity with text across multiple images. Paragraph Panel --------------------------------------------------------------------- Once you have a body of text in your design, the Paragraph panel will help you organize your words. Also, one of its often overlooked uses is template creation. In a production environment, you'll be called upon to create multiple images with similar settings. The Paragraph panel can be a tremendous time saver and help you with this process. Open the panel by clicking on Window -- Paragraph in the top menu bar and making sure it's checked. This panel controls paragraph alignment and justification, which is very important when you're building templates so you can duplicate and image several times with the same settings. In the video, Gene gives us an example task of creating a series of postcards for a new resort. Each postcard is going to feature a different location from around the resort, but they all need to be uniform in appearance and layout. This is where the paragraph panel can be utilized to be a real time saver. If you set up your alignment ahead of time and then simply change the text, then every single location name will be uniform. 1. To do this, first decide where you want your text to be aligned (left, right, center or justified?). Within justified are also options to justify left, right, center or justified across the whole text field. 2. Duplicate the text in the Layers panel, then hide the original. Keep the new duplicated text showing and double-click that text.  3. Rename it to whatever you choose. In the case of the video, Gene has two layers of text, with the background text white and the foreground text black. Rename both the foreground and background layers to read the same. 4. You'll now notice that your new text is in exactly the same spot as the text on the other postcards.  Read more by visiting our page at: http://www.mahalo.com/learn-adobe-photoshop-paragraph-panel/
