Most European doctors support the use of breathing exercises for weight loss and explain their effectiveness as follows: fat consists of oxygen, carbon, and hydrogen. When the oxygen you breathe in reaches the fat cells, it splits them into carbon and water. THE INSTRUCTION: • First, stand up, and push one leg forward and the other back. • Now strain your buttocks and transfer your weight to your back foot. Yes, just like this. • Slowly start inhaling for 3 seconds, lifting your arms above your head. • Then exhale forcefully for 7 seconds, straining all your body muscles. Perform this exercise every day for 2 to10 minutes. How to tone up the whole body? Most of the exercise plans we see online are targeted at certain areas: buttocks, belly, legs, you name it! As a result, the rest of your body doesn't get its dose of love, and you don't get the results you’re hoping for. If you wanna transform your body completely, you need a total body toning workout. Exercises with resistance bands are very simple, they can help you achieve great results and they can also be done anywhere. If you want to have a full-fledged workout, you don’t necessarily need to go to the gym or buy weights: this simple and effective tool will help you develop your muscles by using the force of resistance. We at Bright Side have tried a short workout with these resistance bands and want to show you the series of exercises that we enjoyed the most. You can choose just a few of them, but in order to achieve the best results, we recommend doing all the exercises. The tighter you make it, the harder and more effective the exercise will be. - #2. If you’re using a band, put it on your hips right above your knees. Now step to the side, bending your knees a little bit and slightly lowering your upper body. - #3. Stand straight with your legs hip-width apart, and leave your band in the same position. From here, bend your knees as if sitting, and slightly lower your upper body. - #4. Take a big step forward with your right leg. If you’re exercising with a resistance band, stand on it with the leg you put forward, and hold the ends. - #5. Get into a plank position. If you’re using the band, grab the ends of it with your hands, and put your right leg in between it. - #6. Leave the band in the same position if you’re using it, and stand on all fours. From here, push your right leg up with your knee bent. - #7. The bicycle exercise trains your legs, abs, and buttocks. In addition, it increases your core strength and stamina, especially if you're doing it with a resistance band. - #8. Lie on your back with your knees bent and your resistance band fixed right above them. From this position, lift your hips up while keeping your shoulders firmly on the floor. - #9. Lie on your right side with your right elbow on the floor and your knees slightly bent. Raise your left leg while keeping it bent. - #10. Put your resistance band on the ground, and step into the middle of it. Take the ends, put your arms in front of your stomach, and swing your right arm to the right and your left arm to the left. - #11. Put your resistance band on your wrists, lift your arms, and bend them a little. Now push your arms out to the sides, and return them back to the initial position. - #12. Put your left arm in front of your chest and your right one a bit lower. Hold your resistance band with your right hand, and fix it next to your left wrist. - #13. Put your hands behind your back, holding the resistance band. From this position, pull the band up with your right hand. Hold it like that for about 2 seconds, and then lower it back down. 10 Exercises to Become Taller In One Week

You may have different reasons for dreaming of becoming taller: to feel more comfortable with your taller partner, not to lag behind your tall family, and what not. Here're several simple exercises to do at home that will help you to increase your height. Everybody knows that the height depends on many factors: environment, hormones, your genes, and nutrition. But if you've always believed that you must just grin and bear it, think twice. It's hard but not impossible to change your height even after 25. Stretched muscles receive more blood as it circulates better in the stretched limbs. What is more, oxygen moves better in the whole body. All in all, this leads to a gradual natural stretch. Cobra Pose has several additional benefits, such as decreasing the stiffness of the lower back, increasing flexibility, strengthening your shoulders and arms, and firming and toning the buttocks. A longer neck you can get as a result of Neck Stretch will give you some additional height. Swimming is one of the most effective exercises to gain height. The thing is that it stretches both the body and the spine. Moreover, when a person is swimming, gravitation doesn't affect them. So, when they keep moving their muscles, this stretches the body extremely well simultaneously having a great effect on the spine while it gets longer. Don't forget to breathe properly during the exercises, relaxing and avoiding the urge to tense. Proper squat form requires that you keep your head up, back angled slightly forward but straight, knees traveling outward as you descend, elbows tucked and chest out. Even with all of these tips and cues on how to squat properly, there is one major squat flaw that is still commonly performed. In this squat tutorial video I show you how to perform the squat exercise correctly by paying attention to the alignment of the hips in the transverse plane. Even when your feet are square and your chest is square to your feet, you can still mistakenly allow your hips to open up. This creates a rotational torsion on the pelvis. Though likely very small in absolute motion, this can lead to biomechanical changes in your squat that can cause hip, knee and back pain over time. It's important to learn how to squat properly and to learn proper squat form if you want to keep your gains coming while minimizing injuries to other joints. Form is an important part of any exercise, but it's critical when it comes to the squat, given the loads that are often involved in the lift. The same issue applies to the deadlift as well. In order to fix this squatting flaw you have to consciously contract your gluteus before every repetition of the squat. This will correct the alignment of the pelvis and make sure that your hips are not left open prior to the descent. It takes just an extra second per rep, but will pay large dividends to both your joint health as well as the gains you can see from your leg workouts. In this video, I’m going to show you how to do 20 or more pullups in a single set regardless of how many you can do right now. The key is to use the pullup progression I lay out as well as the instant fix that you can use to start doing more pullups in your very next set. First it is important to understand that a pullup is not just a back exercise. There is far more that goes into executing a proper pull up. You need strength in your arms, forearms, and core as well. That’s right. If your core isn’t strong enough or you are forgetting to activate it when doing this exercise then you are definitely costing yourself a chance to increase the amount of reps you are performing on this popular upper body exercise. To increase the number of pullups you are doing you need to learn the right progression. I like having people set up a bar at about neck height and then grabbing it with one hand. The angle at which you align your torso to the bar is dependent on the ability level and your strength. If you are just starting out or consider yourself more of a beginner, you would start with your body more upright and behind the bar. If you were more advanced, you could get your body more beneath the bar. Either way, you want to grab the bar with one hand and try and pull yourself up to it. The key is to keep your elbows out wide and not allow your body to twist as you pull up. This will demand that your core is activated here as well. As I already mentioned, this is going to come in handy and useful when it comes to plugging the energy leaks later on in this video. The other mistake people make when performing this one arm inverted row is that they allow their forearm to collapse as they pull in and the hand winds up making contact with the chest. To perform this right, you want to make sure the hand is in line with the shoulder and touching the outside of the chest when your body is as high as it gets towards the bar. Keep working yourself down until your strength allows you to be under the bar. Make sure you work both arms each time you do this. You will be surprised at how quickly you will be able to make the transition to get lower and lower and this will quickly start translating over to your ability to do pullups. Next, once up in the pullup position you want to be sure that you plug the energy leaks that are common and killing your ability to knock out a lot of pullups. Do this by tightening your quads, pointing your feet towards the ground, squeezing your glutes, and then contracting your abs. Your body will experience a tightness that has been lacking and will instantly help you to transfer more of the force you are exerting into the bar to do more pullups. No it is not a magic trick, it is just biomechanics and efficiency that is helping you to do this. His books, My life and Art, (an autobiography), An actor prepares, building a character, and Creating a Role, are still studied today. What is the Stanislavski System? This is a good way to consider natural reactions to the events in the story. RE-EDUCATION Actors must rethink the way they move and talk while on stage. Conventional theatre styles of that period of time called for an actors over-emphasis. However, in real life, we don't behave that way. Stan compelled actors to find ways to exhibit true to life human nature. OBSERVATION Stanislavski was the ultimate people watcher; he encouraged his students to carefully observe others, focusing on their physical traits just as much as their personalities. Every person is unique, therefore every character should exhibit unique traits - many of which can be inspired and adapted from an actors observation. MOTIVATION Stan expected his actors to consider, why does the character say this? Why does the character move to this side of the stage? Why does she turn on the lamplight? Why does he take the gun out of the drawer? Some actions are obvious and easy to explain, others can be mysterious. The actor must study the text thoroughly to determine the motivation behind a characters words and actions. EMOTIONAL MEMORY Stan wanted his actors to actually feel the emotion they were portraying. If they seem cold for extreme grief, actors needed to put themselves into the mindset of the characters situation so that they genuinely experienced the feelings of intense sadness. Stanislavski is viewed by many as being one of the most influential figures in relation to western theatre. His system and concepts are still practiced by highly skilled actors as even though his techniques were created a long time ago, they are still relevant to a majority of stimuli today. A few examples of actors who practice his methods are Leonardo DiCaprio and Heath Ledger. During the filming of Django, Dicaprio accidentatly smashed his hand into a glass -- but instead of stopping, he carried on and used his injured hand as a dramatic stimulus for his performance. The notorious Heath Ledger truly embodied his schizophrenic character, the Joker. The actor locked himself in his apartment for a month prior to filming, and it is estimated that he slept for 2 hours a week during the film process. He only answered to the name "the Joker" on set to crew members.

"3 Sets of 12" is KILLING Your Gains!!

Build a ripped, athletic body - http://athleanx.com/x/be-jacked Subscribe to this channel here - http://bit.ly/2b0coMW Performing 3 sets of 12 reps for the exercises your workout is likely killing your gains. Now, don’t get me wrong…I actually like the 10-12 rep range when it comes to building muscle and when the goal is muscle hypertrophy. The problem is, the focus is misdirected as it often times gets put on the number of reps and not the quality of the reps or the time it takes you to perform them. Let me explain. The genesis of the whole 10-12 rep recommendation for muscle growth actually came from the time under tension that that number of reps would equate to if you performed them with the right tempo. If you did an explosive one second up on the concentric portion of the lift and a slow eccentric lowering of 3 seconds on the way down (another way to increase the tension on the working muscle) then you would be at 4 seconds per rep which would equate to 40-48 seconds of tension in that set. Research shows that crossing the threshold of 45 seconds is important, and when paired with a high intensity effort which brings you to failure beyond this point can lead to more impressive muscle gains. What winds up happening however is that we don’t perform our reps at this speed and we end up performing them much faster. As you can see in this set of dumbbell incline bench press performed by Jesse, he finishes the set in just 26 seconds. But that is lost on most people that lift weights and train and instead they focus on the number of reps and doing anything they can to reach that goal number to determine whether or not their set was a success or conducive to new growth. Big mistake. If you were performing a set and noticed after completing three perfectly performed reps that there was no way you were going to be able to maintain that form for the entire set of 12 reps so you shortened your range of motion, that would be a critical mistake. What you wind up with is sub maximal reps at every point in along the way to twelve as explained in the video. Instead, you would want to accept the fact that you were not going to be able to make it and just do as many reps as you could until reaching failure. Each one would be performed as hard and with as most effort as you could generate. If the number wound up falling drastically short of the twelve that you set out to do you could always drop the weight on the subsequent sets to get you back into that range. If you picked a weight that happened to be too light and didn’t take you close to failure, you would want to continue to rep out no matter how many reps it took to eventually get you to failure and then adjust the weights up on a subsequent set. Alternatively you could stop the set at 12 reps if you knew you were far too light on the weights and consider it a warmup set and then adjust the weights up and start again. Either way, the point is not to focus on the number of the reps since after all, your muscles can’t count they can only feel tension. If you are skirting tension in an effort to reach a magic number I can guarantee you are shortchanging the amount of muscle that you can ultimately build in your workouts. Focus always on finding ways to direct more tension to the muscles that you are trying to grow instead of avoiding it and you will be much happier with your overall results. Want the secret to super-charge your brain power? "Try exercise!" says neuroscientist and fitness instructor Professor Wendy Suzuki. In an electric presentation that includes live music, Suzuki describes the neuroscience behind why exercise is the new magic bullet for your brain. Wendy Suzuki, Ph.D. is a Professor of Neural Science and Psychology at New York University. Her research focuses on two main questions. First, she is interested in understanding how our brains allow us to learn and retain new long-term memories for facts and events. Second, she is interested in understanding the effects of aerobic exercise on our learning memory and cognitive abilities. Wendy is a recipient of numerous grants and awards for her research including the prestigious Troland Research award from the National Academy of Sciences and NYU’s Golden Dozen Teaching award. She is also passionate about supporting women in science. Her first book, entitled “Healthy Brain Happy Life” will be published by Harper Collins in May of 2015.
